Although objectively, ‘77 would not be considered the absolute greatest of Talking Heads’ discography, I cannot deny that it has played such a big role in my life ever since I first listened to it at 15. This album is a masterpiece to me. Whenever I hear the chimes or whispers, I am sent into a state where the word the beams the most into my head is: Magic. This album sounds like the essence of enchanting, pure magic. It is a journey, an experience on a rainy night. I have so much more I'd say to gush about this album but my quesadillas just arrived so I have to cut this short

Shout out to my friend who was there to watch my live reaction to listened to this album for the first time. I really, really do adore albums that are strongly atmospheric- and a concept album too? I'm all for it. The storyline is just tragic and the callbacks gave me physical reactions. Crazy debut

My final album out of listening to Fiona Apple's discography in a very out of order way. I still feel like it's criminal (pun intended... yes I know this isnt Tidal but whatever) that I didn't listen to her sooner, she has such beautiful songwriting that I feel honoured to hear. I'm still yet to have this album grow on me like the others have but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I'm going to get mad and I'm going to scream and I'm going to fall in love and I'm going to cry and I'm going to get scared and I'm going to feel everything and that's just how I am.
