I have no idea who she is, spotify recommend me this album and I liked the cover so I pressed play. Let's just say that for 50 something minutes I was left at a loss for words.
This is my first Halsey project. This project pulled me in right from the album rollout(which was brilliant). I think this is honestly at least top five albums that I've listened to this year. Just wow.. I might have to listen to the rest of her discography now.
Absolute favorite: Arsonist.
The original album will cement its self as one of the greatest pop records of all time, however this remix(to me) is weird. I like some of the remixes on here to be honest but it's lacking on some parts.
This and melodrama define 2010's pop music perfectly. A timeless, almost skipless project. This is what made an already established artist into a super star. 1989..you are one for the books.
Her most underrated project and I will not take any other opinions. Red is Taylor Swift at her peak. I can't even begin telling you how much love I hold for this project, a damn masterpiece from top to bottom. (Nothing New is criminally overlooked.)
This is one trillion times better than the original version, I'll leave it at that.
My unpopular opinion? Folklore and Evermore SAVED her career and her artistry. Before them, people didn't really look up to her songwriting(which was still fire by the way RED exists). With this project she positions herself as one of the best songwriters and story tellers of our generation.
Now this is an OVERHATED project. Taylor Swift has a habit of choosing the WORST possible songs on the album as the lead singles. I don't understand ME!, and YNTCD falls flat and it's..bland. The other songs on here are great pop songs. Feels like a summer album honestly..
Okay so, by definition I am a swiftie. I can understand to an extent why this album was marketed the way it was, but dig a bit deeper and you'll find that this is yet another love album from Taylor. If I was her I'd scrap off all of the "edgy" songs on the album and just leave it with the Joe songs. It would've been an amazing album. As it stands now, it's pretty mediocre but whatever.

I love her so much and this is a pretty ok debut, definelty needs better writers because her vocals are insane
I pray for the day they actually try something new with their sound.
The rise of a legend. All hail Chappell Roan!
