Absolutely gorgeous. Paints such a vivid picture with lyrics of the French Revolution being an allusion to fame, power and hierarchy. The strings and piano instrumentals are often cutting and stunning and the soundscape is open and sharp. Incredible cohesive, I love this
I cannot deny this tea. I hate her. But this bops the house and synth beats over her witty lyrics give you some energy and power that I've never heard in rap music before. It's so fuelled with energy and love that you can tell you put her heart into this.
I moved to like 3 songs and overall it is decent ig just like dance-pop that she has done before nothing CRAZY and not very catchy too but the last three songs make me wanna smash my headphones. Also, every time she says dance in this album I should get a dollar
Some of the saddest work out this year. The concept is an interesting one and although I don't think it was executed perfectly, it was still clear that an effort was made and it paid off. Some of her most mature and sonically interesting work. Incredibly cohesive
I'm biased to this album yes. This is such a interesting take on the oh and I love it! Although first half kinda pales in comparison to of, everything ate and the diff sounds for each song is so refreshing! I hope more pop do this and each track is sooo good All the tracks slap and stop comparing it with the remix😭😭. They are diff bodies of work. I liked how each artistsa added their own touch into the songs, e.g bon Iver with a bit of self titled touch. I like brat more but this is ... read more
It's noisy and glitchy but it's personal somehow. Her soft but eerie voice keeps the song's themes of Existential crisis and life's problems very surreal. The experimentation with noise is genius. I love this SM!!! Prob going to be obsessed
I have not listened to Godspeed before but if this is what they sound like I will check them out—amazing and spacious production. Well done post-rock and an eerie representation of the ongoing war in Gaza. The ominous attitude of the album captures the stark and dark reality that carries our lives. I love the distortion and the warping. No words were ever spoken, but so much has been said
YUMYUMYUMYUM
I LOVE THIS THIS IS BOP AFTER BOP AND SO FUNNY AND SO VIBEY AND FUN AND SO INTERESTING MAYBE NEW AOTY FOR ME. The way he tells stories and lyrics is so carefree and so unpredictable! PRODUCTION SO GOOD every song feels like a carried through the 50s to 60s AOTY
One half sounds like elevated imagine dragons
The other half sounds like a nature documentary narrated by Obama
Some lyrics are cliche tho I wish they would stop repeating the same themes and maybe use the production to at least delve a bit deeper into their lyricality
9.3/10
Glittery pop mash uped with her dirty electric guitar makes the perfect sound balance for the themes of fame, love and empowerment discussed in the album. Served gaga and Ariana vocals she is so versatile. This is peak op perfection maybe? I love this. RINA>>> tho
Gaga has reached her peak sound. A mash of jazz/gospel/rock really brings the songs together. The album starts strong, with explosive, jazzy tracks, reminiscent of musical theatre and sounds like hearing it live in a jazz lounge. the vibes fall a bit off at the end tho. However, her sound is incredibly thought out and is a great representation of the film, which takes place on a 1980s set. Gaga is the star of her own musical, and this one is impressive. THE PRODUCTION MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE ... read more
