Anothe great contender for the album of the year and its this rock-opera direction that Car seat headrest has headed too. Although a step down from the only album I've heard from them (Twin Fantasy F2F), I still think that this is an amazing album that's laden with melancholy and the usual introspective, poetic, blunt lyrics that Toledo is known for. The production is stunning but was not as interesting and engaging as their magnum opus. However, this is a solid body of work that I ... read more
This album is the most cathartic, tear-jerking piece of work I have ever listened to. Toledo manages to capture what being human is so raw and so disconnected-like that it becomes this kind of shell that he sings about. The struggles of identity, relationships, and life that he faces throughout this incredibly indie rock epic are overwhelming. Songs like Bodys and Beach life-in-death are some of the masterpieces in the modern rock scene, incredibly unique songs, that get rid of structure and ... read more
Bon Iver once again proves their strength as being masterclass I music experimentation while this time allowing Justin Vernon to step out of the shadows that he always sings about and be happy for once? The pop-soul, rnb influences on this record paired with their signature folktronica sounds make an excellent and interesting combination of genres and musical elements, crafting an incredible uplifting and perhaps the most experimental Bon Iver have ever been (despite the fact that 22, a million ... read more
A great EDM album, prob skrillex's best. Love the way the album flows but it is probably too bloated.
What a thrill to listen too! This literally felt like a bomb exploded in my face but if the bomb was supposed to sound very melodically pleasing when it exploded. This is such a fast paced album, it leaves you chasing after each song trying to get more. However I do think that at some points in the album the energy does dip a bit but it does regain itself! It was incredibly consistent and a masterpiece in terms of production work
Just really boring bland pop music. There's nothing remotely interesting to grab on to throughout the entire album and it just sounds very half heartedly put together. Nothing really interesting going on lyrically too except when Selena goes crazy over ? In Sunset Blvd. I guess it's good she tried a more experimental leaning sound in bluest flame but all that build up to nothing? And country being one of the main influences that I can find throughout the album isn't a good sign ... read more
Wow I didn't expect Mando pop to sound like this! Faye Wong manages to capture the dreaminess of music and heartbreak and how relationships float and linger in the air with this album. Her voice is extremely complimentary to the ethereal feeling of the whole album. Each song progresses well into one another while still maintaining a distinct difference between one another. What a captivating and fun album to listen to, I really enjoyed it
Possible the most inconsistent consistent record I've ever heard. Crimes goes for a more artificial sound here, with more experimental influences and synth-y instruments instead of the more humanoid style of instruments like electric guitars. Grimes tries to paint this picture of this futuristic world, but I can't quite frame it in my mind. Because every time there's a good song,, there's a bad song after. An exception to oblivion and genesis of course, some of the best pop ... read more
There is a better album titled music than MUSIC. Where are the trap bangers that we got from die lit and about half of whole lotta red? I don't think Playboy Carti really tried his best on this one. With pretty alright beats which blend together throughout the whole bloated tracklist if the album, and some pretty alright at best or half assed lyrics that don't come across ass coherent throughout the album. While there are some bangers across the album, it is incredibly diluted as a ... read more
