Mac Miller is back again with another rhaintingly devasting album about the fragility of life, which hits harder knowing now that he is gone. Mac's lyrics are witty and dense, while still maintaining a clear message and allowing me to understand what's going on with clever rhymes and a proper flow. Balloonerism explores the topics about addiction and nostalgia, everything human that we struggle with, and like a balloon, he expands on it. The production brings this very upheld darkness ... read more
This includes the whole album. Too much filler in between some great songs. Sza's lyricism always stands or to me but after a few songs with the same repetitive meaning, it gets boring to me. But Saturn is amazing so there's that! Shorten it! You suffer from ttpd syndrome
I feel that this is the epitome of bubblegum pop. Charli's simplistic but somehow very descriptive songwriting paints a cute picture in every song, a heartbreak or just a night to let loose. Sophie's production is inventive, sounds created out of thin air sounding like a random sounds that all paired together makes a symphony of foley? Anyways, this sounds like innocence and what pop music sounds to me in a big package. Perfection. CHARLI XCX RELEASE THIS!!!
Dark and creepy is the best way to express how this album feels. I feel like I'm chased. But sometimes maybe the ghost can catch up? Some tracks feel too long and extended but punish may be one of the best songs I've heard this/last year! Fun! (Not very)
It's a cute folk record about love! I love the intimacy that many folk records have and the strings are really luscious and gorgeous!
Big let down since the start of this was such a vibe and full of bops, then after the 4th song, it became the most mixed bag and inconsistent pop record ever. The production was stunning tho. Just the choices production wise is... interesting at times
Phil elverum is back with another poetic masterpiece with the most stunning and emotional capsulating album of the year! The production is beautiful and fits the songs so well, and he is just a genius and writing. Everything can be analysed to perfection. Genius!
Best comeback album ever! The cure manages to contain grief and destruction in this dreamy like album where it seems like I'm floating towards a blackhole in each song. The guitar riffs is so ughhhh and his singing style is so charming I love thisss
honestly. I have no words. It's just a enormous mindfuck, with a ginormous spoonful of a choir preset
There's nothing to enjoy
Mindless screaming which seems like a gimmick with really corny lyrics. The production laid back and doesn't hit me as a rock song should, the beat drops are terrible and the girl's voice is sorta annoying with the guy's voice being overly processed
I've only heard Illinois from him. This is such a change. The whole atmosphere of the album is moody and melancholy. Just sufjan and his guitar, while adding some ambient elements. Which makes the whole experience so quiet, and so perfect
The instrumental is jaw dropping its so stunning along with the vocals which seem very raw and intimate to me, especially with headphones on, he sounds like he is next to you on a piano, singing his death out. The lyrics are very unique and interesting, very sad but good
9/10
CUTE!
I LOVE THE MORE POP ORIENTATED SOUND
he spits bars as usual
Fuck the title track
Tyler is back with a excellent effort talking about his familial issues and his "personal" preference! Great bars paired up with amazing soulful production that he keeps on bringing to the table makes it prob the best rap album of the year. (Besides jpeg)
He ate thattt
This is pop perfection except for two tracks! (Guess which skips) THIS IS SO FUN ENERGETIC AND CUTE. I love Carly Rae Jepsen
It's so ambient and spooky and eerie and it does well at keeping that atmosphere. Some BOPS scattered throughout
