Charli's venture into neoclassical darkwave is GREATLY appreciated
Florence + the Machine is back with another album and is actually the first album I am hearing from her, though I have heard a few songs of hers before (e.g Dog Days Are Over), I still can't help but feel... underwhelmed by the whole album. Conceptually, Everybody Scream should be Florence's best, it's her most vulnerable to date, she strips Jack Antonoff of production duties and hires Danny L Harle. But, there also seem to be some downsides to the album, let's start of ... read more
Im tired. What is this? This feels like going to watch the Alice in Wonderland experience at the Las Vegas Sphere, a waste of time and half-assed bullshit. The albun lacks progression, is boring, and such a regression from an already mid album, The Slow Rush. We all know what Kevin Parker is capable of, Kevin Parker knows what Kevin Parker is capable of. However, I must admit I have underestimated him. The fate of Opelia is a return to the pop perfection taylor swift is known for
The new Geese album is absolutely crazy, and I think it feels like a revival of rock and roll. There is always an art rock masterpiece dropped once every year, and this year it is their turn to do it. This album is so mesmerising and fun, and takes you places when you listen to it. It feels like a live performance in the studio where everyone is putting in their all in order to make this album feel fully realised. Trinidad is such an epic opener. I just love the energy that they pick up at the ... read more
Zara Larsson makes a surprising comeback after only a year with one of the more exciting pop albums of the second half of the year. The Swedish-born singer known for hits like Lush Life or Symphony has returned with a more experimental-oriented album, Midnight Sun, with the title track being one of the most fun dance-pop, club tracks I have heard this year. I really like the album cover, it's really invigorating, it really captures the aesthetic that she is trying to pull off this era very ... read more
