Vince Staples - Cry Baby
87

I am so so satisfied with this. this completely met my expectations and I am extremely happy. Vince did exactly what this album was supposed to do. Honestly I would say this is my album of the year so far.

All songs worst to best:
10. TV Guide
9. Go! Go! Gorilla
8. Only in America
7. 7 In the morning
6. The running man
5. Do you know the devil
4. White flag
3. Cotton
2. The Big Bad Wolf
1. Blackberry Marmalade

J. Cole - The Fall-Off
83

Listening to every J Cole album FINALE

Wow it really lived up to the hype. I don't think it's really a hot take anymore to call this J Cole's best work, but I really do stand by it. Cole says so much more worthwhile stuff on this album than he has on any other project he's ever put out. A lot of very interesting stories told and actual personal close to heart performances. I think Cole just upgraded every trait he has in his rapping ability on this project. Whenever Cole ... read more

J. Cole - Might Delete Later
44

Listening to every J Cole album pt. 10

This is Coles biggest shitpost ever, this serves zero purpose. I really do get the argument that this is Cole trying to make a Drake album, and I agree for the most part. Especially songs like fever, which is deadass Coles worst work ever, there is nothing redeeming about that track. And that's not even mentioning 7 minute drill, which before listening to it i thought it was kind of embarrassing to release a diss track just to remove but after ... read more

J. Cole - The Off-Season
76

Listening to every J cole album pt. 9

Was pleasantly surprised with this project, Cole takes a way more conscious hip hop direction on this and I think it fits him very well. He may not be trying much new with this work but I still enjoy it plenty. Also fucking finally there's a good feature on a J Cole song, i never thought i would see the day. 21 Savages verse is really good, and I'm not even the biggest 21 savage fan (although i definitely enjoy his features quite a lot) but this ... read more

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
70

While I do think Rocky played it a little too safe with this project, I still definitely think it has a couple of great songs. I wouldn't call it worth the wait tho, 8 years for an album that's just pretty good is kind of insane. I just don't think this album takes many risks, the only big exception i would say is punk rocky, a great track that is incredibly unique for Rocky, and for hip-hop as a whole. Overall it's decent, but it definitely could've been better.

J. Cole - KOD
63

Listening to every J Cole project Pt. 8

KOD by J. Cole is an album that addiction. For an album that has such a clear meaning I really would've liked it to be way more focused than it was, I feel like it was going in all sorts of pointless directions and it didn't really amount to anything. I do however like the turning point in the middle of the record. And I do think that Cole says some worthwhile stuff on this album, so in other words it succeeds at a lot of stuff outside of the ... read more

J. Cole - Born Sinner
69

Listening to every J Cole project pt. 5

Born sinner is definitely an improvement over Cole's last project, Sideline story. It almost takes more of a pop rap approach for a lot of the tracks which I do think are the weaker cuts on this album, but I wouldn't call it Cole failing his attempt on this kind of sound. We even get kind of a chipmunk soul type sound on the track crooked smile, one of my personal favorites on the album. There are for sure some weaker tracks on this, especially ... read more

A$AP Rocky - TESTING
56

Listening to every A$AP Rocky project Pt. 4

Rocky almost completely abandons the style that set him apart from all other rappers in the game and releases "TESTING", which happens to be very lacking of character. I don't mind switching up styles at all, experimental albums have definitely worked amazing in the past, look at Yeezus for example. But this isn't experimental, this is just doing what everyone else is doing. This doesn't sound new or unique, it sounds like ... read more

J. Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story
64

I little bit disappointed with this, and out of the 6 cole projects that I've now listened to, i would call this the weakest. I do think theres a decent amount of pretty good songs, but there's a lot of corny songs and bars that i can't really get over.

Top 3 best song:
1. Sideline story
2. Rise and shine
3. Work out

Bottom 3 worst songs:
3. Never told
2. Cole world
1. Mr. Nice watch

Opeth - Blackwater Park

I'm genuinely speechless, this is in my opinion the best metal album ever made, genuinely perfect holy shit

Vince Staples - Blackberry Marmalade
92

FIIIREEEE. I may be somewhat of a Vince Staples poser but I promise I listen to at least one full length album by him before the release of this album. Anyways this shit is so catchy and I love it, high hopes for cry baby.

J. Cole - Friday Night Lights
80

Such a huge improvement over his first 2 mixtapes, the growth in Cole between The Warm up and this is really great to see. Highly enjoyed this album, and from the Cole albums I've listened to so far It's my second favorite, only behind 4YEO.

Top 3 best Tracks:
1. Too Deep for the intro (Probably his third best song so far IMO)
2. Farewell
3. Looking for trouble

Top 3 worst Tracks
1. In the morning
2. Best friend
3. Love me not

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
58

Very big disappointment. There's definitely interesting ideas sprinkled across this album, but It's just so bloated, lyrically basic and uninteresting, and has a decent amount of unsuccesfull ideas. It's definitely not all bad tho, in fact i wouldn't even call it bad as a whole, It's just extremely disappointing for Peggy standards.

Top 3 best tracks:
1. Burning Hammer
2. GYBB
3. ¥ (Yen)

Top 3 worst tracks:
1. The 1st amendment (That Charlie Kirk part in the intro ... read more

Genuinely peak, my favorite album of the year so far for sure. I really hope this stays as the highest or second highest rated album of the year because this is for sure better than Slayyyter.

1. ...LIKE WATCHING A ZOMBIE TURN

J. Cole - The Warm Up

Slightly disappointed with this album, not very many great songs on here, most songs are just decent and not much more. Definitely bloated, but theres definitely a few standouts no doubt.
Top 3 songs:
1. Dead presidents II
2. Heartache
3. I get up

Bottom 3 songs:
3. Ladies
2. Water break
1. Royal flush

Michael Jackson - Off the Wall

WOW. I had high hopes for this album but i had no idea that i was gonna love it THIS MUCH. This is genuinely a top 10 album of all time for me. Every single second of this album is amazing in its own fun and unique way, genuinely perfect❤️

A$AP Rocky - AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP
88

My personal favorite from A$APS first three albums, insanely high highs on this.

Drake - HABIBTI
8

Omg how the fuck is this even worse than maid of honour. Who tf let this album escape🥀🤞😭 this is honestly the worst thing ive ever listened to, and i think its about time for Drake to just give up on music.

Edit: Holy shit listening to literally any other music after putting myself through these 3 albums is genuinely one of the best feeling ever.

Drake - MAID OF HONOUR
11

AND THE CROWD GOES HOOOMEEEE🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yeah this is the worst thing hes ever put out holy shit. Shit served zero purpose.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
100

Since this album has been rapidly growing on me more and more recently to the point that i think its a top.5 album of all time, i thought i would review this. I think albums being overrated due to influence when they arent really the greatest listen (808s & Heartbreak). But this album has both the huge influence, and the amazing quality. The theming of this album is just so charming and so is the instrumental on just about every track. Genuine perfection, 100/100.
