Siamese Dream is, in my opinion, the greatest Smashing Pumpkins album released to date. It has a strong and powerful, yet gently crafted sound that only a producer like Butch Vig paired with that original Pumpkins' lineup could achieve. It uses dynamics wisely along with sudden changes from a clean track to a controlled chaos of fuzz in such a unique and irreplicable way to make a symphony of Alternative Rock, almost Shoegaze in nature.

The album art of Lift to Experience's only album is often what pushes people away. It looks like some over-glorified Christian, Jewish country rock LP, but really it just embodies the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover". The rock-opera is bleeding lore all over. Even the song names of each disc tell two sentences of the story. There is a fair bit of christianity involved, considering the fact that the lead singer was a pastor's son.

This album feels like Siamese Dream on steroids. The contrast of energy and style between even the three first songs demonstrates the flexibility they have.

It is hard to find stand out songs in this album as they each have their own unique hook, wether it be Chamberlain's drums on Jellybelly, the melancholy (no pun intended) of To Forgive, the lyricism of 1979, or the raw energy in Bullet with Butterfly wings.
