I love Boris and their weird as hell drone music.
First track is a Vomitself-esque droning track that just sounds like a lot of buildup, but I like its textures and sounds. Sound kind of like being in the middle of a storm.
Second track is way more ambient and laid back. It’s really hypnotic and works as really good background music for doing whatever tasks, or as a piece to just meditate on and let envelop you.
I’d understand why other Boris fans would hate this, but I loved it ... read more
Ok I loved this but if this is your first Vylet project this is a HORRIBLE introduction. Listen to any of her must hears (besides Monarch bc that one was a huge shift in her sound) if you want a better idea of what her music is like.
Edit: Rating Batty Freestyle 100 just so it doesn’t go into red because fuck you
Vylet is the only artist that could drop a peak album and then drop a song better than every song on the album the next day
i love fentanyl <3
this is the perfect album and I don’t give a single fuck about what anyone has to say. if you don’t like this you don’t like music.
(real review coming soon)
I didn’t expect it to be so calm, with the tag Post-Rock and the slightly threatening cover. But it really is calming for most of its runtime :)
The full album (song?) is just Kenji with his guitar and his voice. That guitar is soaked in reverb and makes a really lush atmosphere. He plays a really pretty riff over and over, changing every once in a while but for the most part staying the same. About halfway through the guitar is toned down and he starts singing in a way that reminds me ... read more

100 Review Special!
In 2024, Samlrc released her most successful album to date, her label debut “A Lonely Sinner”. It got tons of attention from the AOTY community and was heralded as one of the best albums of that year. Currently, it’s my 3rd favorite album of all time and my favorite album of the last decade.
There was a lot of anticipation for what she’d do next. Would she continue in this style? Would she do something completely new?
A few months later, she ... read more
(please pretend this review doesn’t exist I just accidentally deleted it and I have a 100th review thing soon so)
Happy Holidays!!!!!! :3
New Christmas means and New No Matter What EP, and it’s stellar this time! The new No Matter What is genuinely stunning, 1337mas is stupid but fun, Arceus caught me completely off guard and felt like I was ascending to the heavens, and the new creature man is a great improvement on the original, but what really made it for me was seeing the premiere live and spamming the lyrics with everyone else. It felt nice to be part of something bigger, y’know?

Merry Christmas! ^w^
The goat (sheep?) Samlrc dropped for new years! This is the third ep in her “New Year” series of little collections of songs. This time, she’s combined a bunch of songs she’s liked into fun little plunderphonics songs!
Obviously this isn’t her best work but it’s still extremely fun and well produced, especially compared to other two in the series! Also, it’s a little bit surreal to hear a few things I recognize in there sometimes ... read more
jesus christ this is a mess (the aoty reviews)
are we really doing all this over a yuno miles album? can we just try and enjoy the music instead of trying to nab the #1 spot? can we actually do what this site was designed to do? can we, at the very, VERY least, respect eachother and
i'm just tired at this point.
If i had a nickel for every time a popular female pop artist made a dramatic turn to classical music in 2025 after their most successful album, I’d have 2 nickels.
It isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.
(also this is SO GOOD CHRIST)
What the fuck is this
I mean this in the most positive way possible
(Also why is no one mentioning Bjork is on this track she so beautiful here)
