Sadness is a corporatist illusion.
Aight I've been playing this a lot today, I feel this album is way more straightfoward than CRASH, and probably no miss for me, production is very bouncy, it really sounds like everybody involved was into it, and lord, THESE SONGS ARE CATCHY AF.
I tried to keep myself away from the singles cause I was not in the pop mood lately and that didn't stopped me from looping B2b, now I guess I can finally press the PARTY MODE button and vibe to these ... read more
I think this album has some highlights like I Don't and Faded which are incredible, this project might be used as a nice benchmark for heavy production too. But content wise this album has some pretty standard lyrics and might end up sounding pretty repetitive once you get used to the sound, plus Switchblade shouldn't exist lol
Now that screams potential
I love the respect it has for the full experience, the band is very aware of what they're aiming for, although their influences is pretty much clear, I like how the dissonance is playing part in it, taking a subtle dark and almost psychedelic approach, comparing it to the live versions I've heard from the band, their "first" release have more body to the sound.
The performances summed up with the composition leaves me very very curious of what a full-length ... read more
That's a drum roll
I'm feeling like my brain melted with this, it's even worse than I imagined. I expected generic "We have Lil Peep at home" vibes from this, which is already boring at paper, but this time what we get is not only generic songs, it sounds bad, like, SOOOOOOO bad, the mixing sound like trash, the beats feels very off, pretty amateurish sound tbh, and I don't even wanna talk about the performances.
They just grabbed all the "sadboy" stereotypes and boosted ... read more

Very standard and upbeat hardcore, for the length it didn't bored me but there's nothing really impressive about it, just some nice shot of tunes on this one
After many years I'm glad to finally hear a solid album from GD, after Father of All I knew that anything could be better and they actually delivered some good tunes, Dilemma is easily their best song since... Idk, American Idiot to be honest???
At this point, all I could ask for a good GD experience is catchy songs with good production, surprisingly, this is exactly what "Saviors" has to offer, from the catchiness of "Bobby Sox" to the energy "Living in the ... read more
So, it's been a hot minute, huh?
I was a bit disconnected from writing reviews for the last few months because... life, lol. But now I'm back (I hope), and I wanna start with one album I've been sitting through for quite a bit, I had the honor to listen to most of these tracks before the release date and was pretty hyped to see what the full project would be, and I'm happy to say. HE DELIVERED!
Not only Remi's voice has improved generally, but this alt-rock/synthpop style is way more fitting ... read more
Well, I know this is getting a lot of attention this week and I think is pretty understandable. Unfortunately, even though I'm familiar with The Beatles whole catalog and lore, I don't consider myself a big fan of their work, of course there's incredible records on their discography, but I never got a deep connection with their sound, so I guess this makes me feel a strange indifference about this "new" song, to me, it's just a standard Beatles song with an interesting touch of modern ... read more
You don't have to die, I've been missing you for a long time now
At this point I just don't care, I just want to have a good time listening to something new from this band again, and what we have so far is leaving me pretty happy. Plus this shit is going to be a masterpiece if Travis don't put generic trap beats like on their latest couple albums.
After many years inconsistency kinda became part Asking Alexandria's brand, they're a band a lot of people love to hate or hate to love, every time I check a new project is always hit & miss, and this new release is no different.
Where Do We Go From Here? displays some of their worst and best (which is not that rare), while a lot of songs in here sound like a metalcore interpolation of radio overblown pop rock songs, some stand as a good metal energetic song or nice pop alt rock tunes, ... read more
After 5 years without a new album, TesseracT is finally back, and I personally can't say it was worth the wait.
By any means I would call War of Being a bad album, however, the songwriting is pretty inconsistent, the highlights of the sometimes get killed by a pointless section, the tones aren't nothing but the standard sounds you'll find in a lot of djent projects, so are the riffs and polyrhythmic parts, plus I don't think these ambient outros do anything to enhance the album, they just ... read more
I would only recommend this album to anyone who is interested in increasing their repertoire of metal production skills, as a producer, Ashen has a lot of cool textures and sound palettes that can be a nice addition to your own work, but as a listener, this album ends up being a boring and underwhelming experience, the songs are sooooo repetitive, the instrumentals are so overblown that the dynamic 99% of the time is dead, the lyrics are extremely generic as well, the shredded distorted leads ... read more
This one is a bit more of my vibe than the SD one, I like this darker minimalist feel way more haha
The piano tone has a beautiful room sound, sometimes the composition gets close to a modern classical way of writing, the sporadic details are something that keeps the energy going, and for a 50 minutes instrumental album, movement is key, fortunately, I wasn't boring at any moment listening to it, even with the parts that could have been more dynamic or could've give us a fresh new sound or ... read more
