yo,
This new Tame Impala record sees Kevin Parker once again exploring deeply personal and vulnerable topics. This time reflecting on his own fatherhood in contrast to the neglect he experienced from his parents growing up. The album cover, featuring Kevin with one of his daughters, paired with music that leans towards rave-inspired ambience, perfectly encapsulates this duality.
Despite the intriguing concept, the music quality doesn’t quite follow through. ... read more

I really can’t explain what struck me to check this record out, but I’m glad I did.
This was not my first Dusty Springfield encounter, but finally sitting down and fully checking out one of her records felt long overdue.
Generally understood as a landmark album where British Pop sophistication met American Southern Soul, Dusty in Memphis resulted in a soft and very comforting listen.

The album was recorded in France while the band were living as tax exiles (hence the title), overlooking the Mediterranean, surrounded by junkies and hangers-on, eating and ... read more

After watching his movie, I decided to finally sit down and fully check out, quite literally, the biggest album of all time.
Michael Jackson’s Thriller is a record that needs no introduction. Inspired to make the biggest record ever, Michael took his Disco influences from the Jackson 5 and all his solo work up until that point, and created something that still carries strong Dance elements but leans more into Pop territory. At the same time, it mixes a ton of different sounds and ... read more
