Draconian Times is exactly what I wanted it to be: The perfect album. After only recently having delved into the genre of Death/doom and Gothic Metal, I have quickly fallen in love with the deep and dark sounding instrumentals, whilst also being captivated by the rather depressive and poetic lyrics that accompany most songs of the genre, at least for Paradise Lost. My point with this is that this album serves as the combination of all the best possible renditions of the aforementioned ... read more
Shoegaze more like slow daze am I right blokes. Anyways, perhaps I am just wrong, but usually I feel like shoegaze is supposed to be somewhat noisy, or like kind of abrasive? Idk, whether it is or not, this album was very menial, Pretty quiet, the blokes was whispering the lyrics, and there was honestly not a whole lot to it. Just some kind of lovely little melodies, and that's about it.
Favorite song - the high rated one | Least favorite song - idk one of them
Been interested in listening to Crowbar for a little while since they kind of blew up recently, and I've seen that Kirk bloke on instagram eating burritos n shit. Anyways yeah, as expected from a highly acclaimed Sludge band, this album had some fantastic atmosphere and all that to it, but the real highlight for me was the vocals. Whichever of those old fossils is singing on this band really does a great job at sounding menacing and emotional at the same time, lovely stuff.

I don't got a lot to say about this really, other than I found it be a good bit more enjoyable than Twin Fantasy for me. I can recognize that Twin Fantasy is probably a better album on a lot of aspects, mainly the conceptual and more intricate nature of it, but this album just has a nice charm and a lovely catchiness to it, that really infected me. W album W listens.

This is without a doubt the easiest 100 I'm ever going to give something. Every time a song progressed, or a new one came on, I was continually bewildered at just how much better it kept getting. I am constantly skeptical of 1hr+ metal albums, especially black metal, and even more especially DSBM albums, but this was worth every god damn nanosecond. I don't even know what to say, but I guess, as a fatass who loves to eat, the way I would describe this is like eating my favorite meal ... read more
