This album makes me yearn like a fucking loser. I love it.
AOTY?
Heads up, this is my introduction to Quadeca. I had never heard any of his stuff before this record, and I will definitely be snorting his entire discography soon.
Enough time has passed (17 hours to be exact), this is the album of the year. I don’t even know where to start with this. Vanisher, Horizon Scraper is a devastating piece of art with a wide range of genres that blend perfectly and breathtaking visuals. From start to finish, each song adds something new to the story of ... read more
After listening to the Song Machine and the singles (Cracker Island and New Gold), I had really high hopes for this record, only to come out disappointed. Other than some highlights like Cracker Island and Skinny Ape, the production of some songs feels underproduced. The features don't hit as hard as they do on other Records, and what I believe to be the weakest part of the album is that it doesn't really follow the concept it establishes. Overall, a very forgettable record with ... read more
This was not on my 2025 bingo card, but safe to say HE DELIVERED. This was so unexpected and fun to listen to, even though I found some songs lackluster on the first listen, but I soon grew to enjoy them too. My favourite tracks would have to be Sugar On My Tongue, I'll Take Care of You, and Tell Me What It Is. Mommanem had such an interesting production, I just wish it were a full-fledged song. Either way, this record was a really good time.
Song Machine, despite not being a concept album per se like their other projects, is still jam-packed with bangers from front to end. Such a feel-good record, with some of the best features in their entire discography, really takes you back to what made Gorillaz so great. This album fucking rules, definitely their best work since Plastic Beach.
If anyone even dares to hurt this innocent soul I will kill them and then myself.
The way I couldn't even read the lyrics properly because of all the tears.
After her underwhelming last project, I went into this album blind with 0 expectations. Oh well, this blew me away. Literally.
Eusexua as said by FKA Twigs is the "sensation of being so euphoric that one could transcend human form". It's safe to say she stood by her words, this album really takes you to another realm. The collision of club ecstasy with Twigs's personal vocals and the glitchy electronic productions makes Euexua one of her most hypnotic and sensual projects yet.
A really good follow up to Dogsbody. A beautifully unsettling and sexy queer dance gem.
So bold, experimental, and brutally human yet it stays hard as fuck.
