Gritty, raw, dirty. Crunching bass riffs churn under aggressive guitar licks, electronic accents shimmer on the top, and excellent vocal performances tie the whole thing together with a perfectly aggressive, political bow.
One of my most returned-to albums of the 90's, such a gentle, calming and deeply emotional project. Put in the contrast of their previous, much heavier and aggressive albums, this record shines even brighter, really highlighting the bands excellent writing and instrumentation that doesn't require a shroud of heavy riffs and screaming vocals to communicate emotion and depth.
