I got this as a recommendation from my cousin and he said he loved the album! So I’m willing to give it a chance.
I Thought It Was Over is a fun opener with a great groove to it and a very fun vibe. It’s a good opener! Hannah Leave Your Man has a few very notably funny lines like, “I’ll Take Bullet For You, A Bullet Right To The Face” which made me chuckle. The song as a whole is very fun! It’s great! Daily News is a wonderful song! It’s so fun! ... read more
“WE ARE TORN WIDE OPEN!!!”
A band that I’ve never heard of, but seemingly have an almost god-like status in the sludge metal scene. I am always fascinated to hear new sludge metal, as a massive fan of it. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.
We Are Torn Wide Open is a terrific set up for the album and truly gets us into it with some manic screaming. The manic screaming relays the title of the song repeatedly until we reach a climax, which almost seemlessly ... read more
I haven’t heard anything about Bill Callahan before but I’m just looking to get into more new music. So we’ll start with My Days Of 58!
The album begins with Why Do Men Sing which is a beautiful seven-minute opener that features extremely sharp and brilliant lyricism! It’s all pressed over a beautiful, soft spoken instrumental! It’s a brilliant opener! The Man I’m Supposed To Be is a very fascinating song due to its almost acoustic Swans-flavored ... read more
Okay, I can either be very mature about this and say that this is absolutely disgusting and so unbelievably distasteful...Or I could be as distasteful as he is, and hope that the guy who made this suffers the loss of all his family members...truly a coin toss.
After nearly a year of setbacks, we have finally received Kanye West’s Bully! Let’s just get into it. Let’s not wait any longer.
King opens the album and it’s just a really cool song! It’s good! This Is A Must is much worse. It’s kind of a trap song, it’s just kind of weak, and it ultimately just feels unfinished. It’s pretty bad. Father has great production, good performances from both West and Scott! I like the song! It’s good! All The ... read more
Mclusky returned in 2025 with a very good album! Aside from one notably bad song on that album, it stuck out to me as a very good display of work from a group returning following a 21 year breakup (don’t quote me on that, I thought I remembered hearing they broke up) they came back with a rambunctious and very good album! I’m certainly excited to see what they bring to the table with this new EP.
We open with i know computer, which is an odd track to me. It doesn’t really ... read more
I haven’t really heard much from underscores before. I know Wallsocket was a highly praised album, but haven’t listened to it. I know of her work from Danny Brown’s recent album, Stardust. People seemingly group underscores in with Jane Remover in conversation a lot so I’m certainly interested!
Tell Me (U Want It) opens the album and for the most part it’s just a fun upbeat pop banger. Does it kind of not sound like what I expected, sure, but that doesn’t ... read more
The fact that it features the two extra songs, and the excellent production, this is better than the original by 2 points. Still not perfect, very damn great!
I’ve never been super big into K-pop. But my girlfriend is a fan of BTS, so why not, let’s give it a chance.
Body To Body is an alright opener. Nothing mindblowing. Hooligan is terrible. It’s really just awful. It starts so promisingly with a beautiful sample then they just fuck it up with one of the most mind bogglingly awful beat switches I have ever heard. Like seriously. What? Thee? Fuck? A true fuck up of a song. Aliens is another song with obnoxious production! ... read more
I heard about this album from a guy on Instagram reels. I can’t recall his handle right now, but he’s good, and mostly a reliable source when it comes to music. I’ve never heard of Puma Blue, but I am always interested in finding new music.
We open with Desire which is a good opener which definitely presents the style of the album, which just so happens to be trip hop, a genre which I’ve never really explored outside of Dummy by Portishead and some Massive Attack, but ... read more
Lamb Of God is one of those that I’ve only heard of and not listened to because I am only now really getting into metal! Also I don’t listen to metal extremely often either, because it takes a lot out of me. But I’ll happily give this new Lamb of God record a listen!
We open with the title track which is this absolutely punishing instrumental, with harsh, heavy vocals! It’s a great way to open the album, it sets the stage and pace of the album! Parasocial Christ is a ... read more
As a child, I grew up on The Black Crowes! I have seen the Black Crowes live! I have a few vinyls of theirs! Simply put, I love the Black Crowes! I was excited for this new album since it’s one of their first since their return just a couple years ago with the very underwhelming Happiness Bastards. But hopefully this is a step in the right direction and a swift kick in the ass to get them back into gear.
The album opens on a rather unfortunate note with the very odd Profane Prophecy. ... read more
Tom McDonald can blow a bag of cocks. No in-depth review. Fuck that shit.
A very Elliot Smith flavored track! Just without the lo-fi production that Smith was known for
Geordie Greep’s The New Sound might be one of the most impactful albums on my taste in music in the history of my life! And I not only have listened to the album more than probably any other album ever, I not only have bought it on vinyl twice, but I have seen the album performed live in concert and got one of my vinyls signed by his tour band and Geordie Greep himself. The album has had an enormous impact on my music taste and I am so thankful for Geordie Greep and his creation. So ... read more
An album that I have listened to countless times now, and I still want to re-review it. I’ll happily do it!
The intro sets the stage for the album wonderfully! It brings up all the sounds you should expect to hear and keeps it brief with an excellent introduction! Chaos Space Marine is a positively wonderful continuation of the intro track! It’s a beautiful song! It really expands upon everything we heard in the intro and creates this huge world surrounding this sound! Excellent ... read more
Oh Geese…we’re back, ready for round 2. Getting Killed was my second favorite album of 2025, and so I am very excited to reassess the album after quite some time!
The album opens with the unhinged Trinidad, which shows Winters strengths of becoming even more deranged with his vocal choices. Not to mention the terrific instrumental performances here! I remember being baffled by this song the first time I heard it because of how odd it was, and at first I didn’t really ... read more
With as flooring of a look as this duo has, I can’t wait to hear what’s in store.
We open with Sherpa which is just a great jam track! Lots of cool instrumentation here! Just classic math rock! Tohogd is a good jam track! Tamebsz is a positively wonderful track! Love the instrumentation on this track! It’s just so much fun! Loved this track! Ababa Hotel can be absolutely entrancing! It has some awesome guitar work! I think the song is very good! Sahardnieh is absolutely ... read more
I’ve never heard of heavensouls before, but I’m always intrigued to hear new shit from newer or lesser known artists! This one was getting high praise from audiences on AOTY, so I figured I’d give it a listen. Just a fair warning though, I’m not very big on Afrobeat. When I say that, I mean I haven’t listened to much of it, outside of Fela Kuti. I could either enjoy this or not. I love me some Jazz-Funk though so I’m sure I’m in for a good ride!

Let's just get this out of the way to start this review: Fuck Morrisey. To quote JPEGMAFIA, "I cannot fucking wait til Morrisey dies". Fuck. Morrisey.
The album opens with You’re Right, It’s Time which is just bad enough to not be mid. Morrissey’s vocals are nasally and occasionally just flat as a board. The title track begs the question of, what the actual fuck is he talking about. It is insufferable. Genuinely just absolutely insufferable. Notre-Dame is a ... read more
