Pretty good, I wish it had more to offer, it felt like he was trying his best but it wasn’t exactly as exciting as a Charles Mingus or Coltrane work but it was soothing and I would love to relax to this at some fancy club. It was probably mainly how it isn’t as awarding as other Avant Garde pieces that took points off still worth a listen.
Donovan creates a fantastical atmosphere of wizards, sun rays, Arthur’s court, drug trips, apologies, carnivals, such a trip and a great milestone in the history of psychedelic pop and folk
Beutiful, fun, adventurous, dramatic and exciting, whil also calming, soothing, and harmonious, truly a masterpiece compared to other soundtracks for movies, capturing a wide range of different sounds, I will be relistening to these songs over and over. None of them were my “least favourite” that’s how good this is. But The good bad and ugly, the desert and the trio stand out as beutiful pieces along with the second to last song.
It’s great. I love it. Captures the feelings of mental issues and is well paced with incredible attention to detail. But the songs aren’t all perfect and the album relies on very few
An emotional, strong, musically perfect, whole project that acts as an amazing tribute to their lost friend and a reminder to all of us to shine on in our own way like a diamond. Perfect to the last detail.
