I feel as though this is the very expected direction of the band going forward. It resembles the same shift that Pink Floyd went through with Syd Barret. A visionary with a deep passion for expression that was ultimately too overwhelming for either of them to continue long term. Isaac gave his all for their first two albums, and really put all of everything he was as a human being into Ants From Up There as a grandiose masterpiece.
