Rina expertly describes how it feels to venture into and experience early adulthood in the age of technology. On her first project, Sawayama has already refined her unique sound, incorporating 90s and Y2K R&B influences and pop rock. ADELA emerges boldly from her KATSEYE audition days, leading her to a true calling as a solo artist. "The Provocateur" is an overwhelmingly promising debut project. The Slovak performer already exudes a great sense of confidence and hunger that decorates the edges of each song and dance. Not only is "The Provocateur" composed of seven extremely fun, unskippable electropop tracks, she embraces weirdness, vulgarity, unsettling sexuality, and viscerality throughout, making her ... read more
On his "Album of the Year" winning record, [I Should Have Taken More Photos], the Puerto Rican megastar delivers his greatest triumph yet, fleshing out his previous musical ventures all in one, kissed by a welcome Reggaeton flair. Great experimental mixtape from Charli. You can tell SOPHIE's hands were all over this shit, but charli adds her own bubblegum touch. There are some great features, several of the features fall extremely flat compared to Number 1 Angel, though I think these tracks have held the test of time more than N1A. I also think its cool she worked with mainly queer women and drag queens though.
Final verdict on the battle of the Charli 2017 PC mixtapes: Both are 7/10 but Pop 2 is better.
