Good but not as good as Phantomine for me. There's a lot of really high highs with songs like Gold Unbalance, Tenchu/Mercy, Shuuden, and Memento, but there's some misses, mainly Let's Just Crash and Die For You. There are also some songs I think would be better with some slight changes, like getting rid of the weird bridge on Rivals and Equals, and having a bridge and final chorus in the last two songs. I'd also put Orpheus somewhere else within the album's placement, ... read more
Very well executed mix of pop and metal that's done in a very unique way. The final song tying a lot of the previous songs together was really cool here. Other than BLOODMONEY which I'm mixed on, the songs here are really good.
Her best metal project IMO, it's short but every single song is a banger.
Not as strong as Negative Spaces for me but there's still a lot of good here. Jordan Fish's production style may be controversial, but I personally find it pretty enjoyable to listen to, and that's the case for a lot of this album.
Public Domain starts the album very well with a bit of an industrial vibe and a nice breakdown to end the song, and Bruised Sky follows that up with a good alt-metal song. Then there's Guardian, which seems to be one of the more disliked songs ... read more
Definitely one of their best. It's mostly pretty formulaic, with almost every song following the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-breakdown-chorus formula, but its executed very well for the most part. The Last Riff is a noticeable standout as it differs from the rest of the album, being a purely instrumental track that feels like one long, really satisfying breakdown.
Not usually a big Coldplay fan but this album hits different for me, especially Warning Sign. A Whisper is an exception though, as it feels noticeably worse than the rest of the songs.
I liked the songs that were more heavy instrumental-wise but overall this didn't do much for me.
What an album. Listening to this makes for an often disturbing yet very compelling experience that really sticks with you from beginning to end. The only reason its not a 100 for me is because there's a few lines here and there that feel absurdly over the top even with the concept in mind.
While it's overall good, the first half felt noticeably stronger than the second half for me. Silent Disco is a fantastic closer though.
While I mainly liked it, it kinda just felt like Glow On except more drawn-out.
The sable part wasn't really my thing, but the fable portion was pretty good.
While the mixing sounds weird to me for some reason, all of the songs here range from good to great and it all feels nicely cohesive.
One of her best songs ever. The chorus is really strong and that final minute of the song especially feels very powerful.
A great sendoff for her. She puts out an amazing vocal performance here, that high note at the end of the chorus especially, and the instrumental supplements that to great effect with these strings and piano elements making the whole experience really impactful.
10 minutes of relentlessly chaotic metalcore that's executed pretty well. All the glitchy electronic stuff adds to it too, though Reality Bytes felt like a weaker execution of it than the other songs.
I have a soft spot for 2000s and 2000s-styled music and this executes that very effectively, and is very pleasant to listen to. Baroque is a highlight as the more prominent guitars make it stand out in a good way, and Outbound is my other favorite, being the best execution of the softer sound for me.
