This score was SO perfect for the movie. Never in my life have I been more interested in tennis. It's energetic, tension-fueled, and hot asf. Even on its own without context for the movie, it still bangs.

This album is the best thing to come of indie rock this year. I've seen this album rated so highly everywhere I've looked for the past couple of months, so I finally decided to throw in the towel and listen to it. When the introduction to the album, 'Where We've Been' started playing.............. I had no idea what this album was gonna sound like or if I would even like it, but DAAAAMN I immediately realized that this was going to be something special. By the time 'Crimson to Chrome' rolled ... read more
GOD DAMN I had no idea what to expect from this album. I saw how highly it was rated and thought, yeah might as well. I had a very brief phase of listening to metal/deathcore in middle school, so I figured I had a general idea of what it would be like. Hearing the first song, I was completely right. It reached and fulfilled my expectations to a tee, but what I hadn't expected was how fucking good these songs would be. They did not hold back AT ALL. This album is chaotic and angry and raw in all ... read more
I have no idea what this genre is called. I'm sure most people label it as ambient folk/alternative indie and call it a day, but there is something so specific about this type of music that I've only found in Hailaker. I've listened to so many artists that I've fallen in love with (Bon Iver, Novo Amor, Florist, Lomelda) who all create incredible music similar to this sound, but not quite like this. I am always always DESPERATELY searching for music that makes me feel the way Hailaker does, and ... read more
This album is beyond what I expected. Every single Billie album has been good, she's an incredibly talented singer and FINNEAS is in on some secret that the rest of the world isn't aware of - his production is otherwordly. But this album is so. fucking. incredible. This is BY FAR the best album she's released to date. There's not a single mid or trash song on this album, every single track hits. I'm still completely in awe. If I had told 13 year old me that someday Billie Eilish would release a ... read more
This album is an indie masterpiece. Sam Melo's unique vocals are unlike any that I've heard and it feels so refreshing to listen to. The fact that some of these songs were done in a single take proves to show how immensely talented they are. Though the songs on this record are a bit messy, they add significantly to their charm and highlight the beauty in the chaos that is this album. I've had these songs on repeat for years now and they have yet to get old.

I love Current Joys sooooooooo much. There's not a genre or song they could make that I wouldn't think bangs. I find that with a lot of indie punk/dream pop, people often mistake it for being miserable and depressing - which, yes. This is fully the type of music to listen to alone in your room.. in the dark.. depressed as hell. HOWEVER!! It is also the perfect album to blast with your friends, windows down, during the peak of summer. It has a vibe, granted one very specific vibe that this album ... read more
Have you ever listened to an album before and been convinced that it was made for you? Yeah. I've been listening to Konami Code for years so when I saw this release I already knew I was gonna be a fan. Safe to say, it absolutely did not disappoint. On my first listen I had the time of my life, classic midwest emo, deranged lyrics, *the* electric guitar riff thats in every fucking alternative pop punk garage band album ever. It was checking off every single box. Then I listened through it again ... read more
BEAUUUTIFUL ALBUM
The singer Emily Sprague described this album as, "the speed at which rain falls, life goes on, and people grow. - [It's] an attempt to highlight the importance of love and the things in life that give you something special to hold on to, to find a calm that can carry you through being alive and being scared." This description in itself are bars. You can hear in every song how evident her love for music is. To be hurt as badly as she was and to come out on the other ... read more
This album. I don't even know how to put the words together and explain how much it means to me. This album was genuinely the very beginning of my love for music. Growing up I listened to whatever played on the radio or what my family had playing in the house. I went out of my way to make playlists and find artists on my own after hearing lost boy blast on the speakers on a school field trip. Living in the middle of nowhere I never had access to concerts / much live music as a kid, so during ... read more
I've been listening to Gracie since minor was released and she has grown sooooo much as an artist these past few years - every release her sound is more and more refined. I am counting down the days for her second album because I can already tell it's gonna be fire.

A beautiful collection of songs, Adrianne never ever misses. relief and feel it all had me in shambles on the floor during my first listen, still don't think I've recovered yet. I seriously recommend spending the 10$ on her bandcamp, 100% of proceeds go toward the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Free Palestine ♡

it feels like at any point she's gonna start singing "now we're fighting in a grocery store and I love you but I don't know if I like you anymore" LOOOL. during my first listen of the album it definitely was not hitting for me. I thought some of her style choices were quite strange; banjos, auto-tune, talking through the songs, but now I get it. this album is the perfect mix of silly and emotional. she's fun, heartbroken, depressed and a little deranged! perfect mix of feelings for an ... read more
SOOO GOOD AND DAAAAMN I LOVE A TRUMPET! This album is so much fun. I loooove retro funk music; very excited to learn ab more artists in this genre. This is the type of sound that makes me remember why i love music.

tbh! this is my favourite album of theirs. i know my standards for music don't really exist and i enjoy almost every song i've ever heard, but this is so good!!!!!! its silly and the songs IMO don't mesh together like they usually do on their other albums - they all have pretty distinct sounds while still falling into their usual indie-rock/pop genre. this album in particular is a little more psychedelic which I looooove
- favs : Pretty Boy, Cherry Flavoured, Tobacco Sunburst, Silver Lining
god damn there are so many songs on this album. this is very all over the place and it's very clear that they just decided to put all their eps in a blender and mix it all together, but it surprisingly turned out really well? they execute every genre very well and it created a very unique listening experience. I'm finding that a lot of the songs are blending together with one another, but the ones that stand out reaaally stand out.

this is one of the defining albums of my childhood, listening to these songs in middle school altered the chemistry in my brain. though the lyrics are not the highlight of this album, their noise is imo at its peak. on that note, the worst man you've ever met without fail always has these songs in their playlists. indie rock ily

This EP is gas. Not even sure how I stumbled across Sedona, but it was so good I had to see if she had more music. Coincidentally this EP was just released 2 days ago so my timing could not be more spot on. Every song has that same sound I was craving, but they don't all blur together. I desperately need the lyrics to be released I can't find them anywhere, I can tell there are some bars on here, but I have no idea what she's saying half the time. I love indie-pop what more is there to say.

updated review (original is below): I take it back. Yes the lyrics are cringe and nowhere near the level Folklore is on, but I've got to admit, this album has won me over. She is cringe but she is free! Now that I'm more familiar with the songs, I can confidently say that there are a lot that I really enjoy. I should've known that Taylor knows my brain better than I do and she always releases music that have parasitic earworms in them, but alas. Honestly, real talk, I'm just gonna out myself ... read more
