The Brobecks - Violent Things
80

I would have ate this up in middle school, my P!ATD phase will never really go away. On a totally, completely unrelated note, I'm so in love with his voice it's not even funny.

- favs : Better Than Me, Bike Ride, If You Like It Or Not

Mitski - Bury Me at Makeout Creek
91

Mitski's lyricism is on another level. The emotion she channels into every single song she performs is mind-blowing. Every time I hear one of her songs for the first time, my jaw drops to the floor. If Mitski has no fans, I'm dead.

- favs : Last Words of a Shooting Star, Texas Reznikoff, I Don't Smoke

Ayleen Valentine - tonight i don't exist
90

my two words colliding; edm lofi beats and sad girl acoustic. this EP chews i love everything she does.

- favs : next life, falling all the way down, you're the one who's supposed to keep me safe

Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters
92

This album needs to be listened to many many times before reaching a final opinion. She's soooooooo incredibly talented and she writes female rage in such a real and approachable way. My rating is forsure only going to go higher over time, I love Fiona Apple so much

- favs : Under the Table, Shameika, Cosmonauts (this is a no skip album I genuinely love every song)

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
81

my spiderman <3

- favs : IV. Sweatpants, 3005, I. The Worst Guys

Dijon - Absolutely
81

Dijon's voice fucks if i'm being so fr. He could sing nonsense with some garbage garage band backing and it would still go insurmountably hard. This album feels like he's having so much fun and making songs just for the joy of it - literally just out there freaking a vibe

- favs : Scratching, Rodeo Clown, God In Wilson

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
80

I'm in love with this sound. I can already tell this is gonna send me down a rabbit hole of old-school alt-rock and I can't wait.

- favs : Don't Follow, No Excuses, Nutshell

Destroy Boys - Make Room
79

I looooove how whiny her voice is, women should complain more often - they deserve to.

- favs : Crybaby, Nerve, Soundproof

The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy
83

DUUUUUDE as a huuuge florence fan. . . this album chews and swallows. I love their sound so much. Any album that's gay and full of relgious guilt already holds me in a chokehold, but the way they executed it is perfect. Super super super excited for their future music. Industry plant my ass, WHY CANT WOMEN HAVE ANYTHING

- favs : Sinner, Nothing Matters, Burn Alive

Nick Hakim - Cometa
70

I like this album a lot more than Green Twins. The songs are a bit more cohesive and I prefer the sound he chose; soft, distant, a bit hazy.

- favs : Happen (!! <3), Feeling Myself, Slid Under

Taylor Swift - evermore
83

god i love taylor swift. evermore lyrically transcends the rest of her albums. i don't think its fair to compare it to folklore because evermore is basically just an extension of it. they're hand in hand, skipping down a wooded forest, singing melodies that equally tear me to pieces. ill even set my misanthropic hatred of coney island to the side for this review. (i have absolutely no idea why i hate that song, the lyrics are good, they sound good. i just hate it. im sorry) this album chews.

Harry Styles - Fine Line

This album is soooo well done. I can recall exactly when and where I was listening to falling for the first time and contemplating my existence. This album has it all

- favs : Canyon Moon, Cherry, Fine Line

H.E.R. - H.E.R.

DAMN. this album is long asf, and i enjoyed every minute. Her voice is unreal and such an incredible start to her discography. I'm so excited to hear more of what she's created !!
- favs : Best Part, Every Kind Of Way, U

Kiana Ledé - Selfless
72

Weston Estate - Maggie Valley

- favs : Pears, Sixty, Daisies

Joy Oladokun - Proof of Life
71

I heard changes on the radio in the car and HAD to look it up to immediately add to my playlists. The instruments, their vocals. I actually shat my pants hearing Joy's voice for the first time. Seeing Noah Kahan, Mt. Joy, and Manchester Orchestra on this album with her also immediately got my attention. PLUS, her bio saying she's playing tlou 1+2?? I think I might be in love. . .

- favs : Changes, Sweet Symphony, Friends

Tiny Habits - Tiny Things
93

Their harmonies are PERFECT. I'm in shock over this album. I had heard tiny things (the song) on the Juniper Spotify playlist and immediately fell in love with it - but I wasn't expecting the rest of the record to be on the same scale as that song. The entire EP is soooo well done.

- favs : tiny things, delay, (their landslide cover <33)

Nick Hakim - Green Twins
68

After seeing all of the high reviews..maybe I listened to the album wrong. His voice is incredible, there’s no denying that. But, I’m a lyric person and these lyrics have the audacity that only a man could possess. I was excited to see that this is his oldest album, so I’m hopeful that I’ll enjoy his recent ones more!

- favs : TYAF, JP, Needy Bees

Great Grandpa - Plastic Cough
83

Menne's vocals in this are WILD I'm in awe every time he sings. (I'm convinced that Fade was written specifically for me, so thanks for that.)

- favs : Fade, Expert Eraser, All Things Must Behave / Eternal Friend

Sydney Rose - One Sided
92

The lyrics in this album are gut-wrenching and hit SO close to home it's like I can see the front door. I Think of How It Ends was written directly from the feelings in my brain idk how she got access to those.... on that note. PRETTY WORDS?? A DEAD POETS SOCIETY SONG???? I lost my mind over that. I'm still currently losing it.

- favs : I Think of How It Ends, Pretty Words, You'd Be Stars
