Tyler, The Creator - Wolf

Huge improvement from Goblin, and I understand the appeal of this album. However, I don't appreciate this album that much, while it has some bangers and it's more tolerable than Goblin, I can't like it knowing how much better Tyler can make. But, I'll take it anyway. Favourite track: Tamale.

Goblin is a snoozefest of an album, and that's giving it props. For the first mainstream release, it severely dissapoints. If this came from any other artist, I would not give them another chance after hearing an album this bad. Favourite track: I don't know?? She, probably.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
87

After such a Heartwrenching album like mmatbs, gnx takes a complete 180 in tone and sound. After the gigantic year he had in 2024 with just a few diss tracks against drake, Kendrick drops an album that has close to no storytelling and deep bars, completely contradicting all his prior work in the best way possible. He always made statements in his work, and by making no deep statement in this album besides "fuck fake people", he's creating an indirectly even deeper statement. ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers

I can not even begin to explain how much this album means to me already. This came out in 2022, and i listened to it in March of 2025. And yet? In that time period to now, i listened to this album about 7 times, and it's already helped me through so many hard times and moments. It made me cry a couple of times while I listened to it for the first time, and I've never listened to an album in which the artist exposes themself so vulnerably like Kendrick did in this album, and I've ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

A stepdown from tpab. However, I still absolutely adore this album and come back to it far more frequently than i do tpab. The sound is a lot more accessible for newer fans and at times hits harder than tpab ever can. Kendrick does what he does best, and this is his best tracklist as this is the only album of his where i wouldn't recommend a single song to someone, but would rather recommend the whole album. I would never argue with anyone if this is their favourite Kendrick record. ... read more

It's to pimp a butterfly. What do i have to say? Favourite track: The Blacker The Berry

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city

Such a good album. Great storytelling, awesome songs and sound. While in my opinion, a lot of this album doesn't hit, that doesn't discredit what it does well. There's nothing i can say that hasn't been said already. Favourite track: Maad City

Kendrick Lamar - Section.80
78

Kendrick's first studio album certainly doesn't disappoint. While this isn't the album that causes his breakthrough, that is not because of it being bad. For an album this good, it would be a lot of artists best album, and yet for Kendrick, this is one of his worst albums. Not much to say, nice jazzy sound with cool raps, feels very Kendrick despite how early it is in his catalog. Favourite track: Keisha's song (Her Pain)

Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)
57

Eminem's best work since recovery for sure. While it sounds good, and is definitely funny at times, it tries too hard. The slim shady person comes across as dragged on, and uninspired. You can say that's the point, but personally? I don't think it is. This just feels like Eminem trying to please his younger audience that desperately glazes slim shady. For that reason, it's hard to enjoy, but it's okay. Favourite track: Fuel.

Eminem - Music to Be Murdered By - Side B

I thought this deserves its own rating as it's long enough to stand on it's own, aside from the first MTBMB, but... This sucks. This doesn't deserve a proper review, it's comically bad.

Eminem - Music to Be Murdered By

Music to be murdered by is the album that finally let's eminem take a stand as a decent artist in such a long time. While the album is not perfect, and just like his previous works, has some horrendous songs, it has some excellent songs aswell. It has a much more modern approach, and finally feels a little more appreciative compared to before, but it still feels a little too sour for Eminem to deserve. Favourite track: You Gon' Learn

Eminem - Kamikaze
32

While this album is a step up from Revival, and coming out only so shortly after it gives it's flaws a cushion to fall on, it doesn't mean it's short of it's issues. The good songs aren't the shine on this album, as it's clear Eminem put more effort in songs that are undeniably worse, and as the album takes itself overly seriously, and Eminem feeling even more entitled than he did in Revival, it causes it to still be one of his worst. Favourite track: Lucky you

Eminem - Revival
27

Oh boy. Where to even begin with this? Carrying the rock elements from MMLP2, somehow making them feel even more uninspired, while Eminem is trying to be self righteous. The intro track, Walk on Water, is a great song, which explores how much pressure is put on Eminem to write good music, and how he doesn't need the pressure to achieve greatness, and how it only makes his work worse. Putting that song on an album of this quality, feels hypocritical and stupid. Eminem tried his best to be ... read more

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP2
40

The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is an embarrassment to the image and legacy the first MMLP has achieved. While not his worst, it's certainly not worth a listen unless you're doing Eminem's discography. It's the definition of forgettable, and also the start of Eminem losing sense of what once made his music so good and memorable. Incorporating rock elements, it succeeds in trying to be cool many times, but it's increasingly obvious at times how it falls flat. Not a bad album, ... read more

Eminem - Recovery
60

Recovery is the album coming right after relapse, and somehow the complete opposite of it. While this album means a lot to Eminem, the quality of this album is a huge stepdown from relapse, but certainly not bad by any means. The consistency of the album is all over the place, having some really good tracks, but also having some of the worst of his discography so far. It's at the very least, a very forgettable album, and this review might not be the most accurate as I can't even ... read more

Eminem - Relapse

Listening through Eminem's catalog certainly feels like a rollercoaster sometimes. What a comeback album from encore. In my opinion, his second greatest album. It's not the first time eminem is dipping his toes into concept and storytelling, but this is the first album to fully commit to a concept. Any track from this album, outside of context, can be perceived as very weird, strange and unexplainable. But in context, it's very well executed. The style in this album is very ... read more

Eminem - Encore

Encore is a very dissapointing album. While I personally was not there to experience it, i can only imagine how Eminem fans at the time felt when he dropped this. Going on a roll from The Slim Shady LP to The Eminem Show, nearing perfection in his work, and then he drops...this. The most jokey, unserious and uncomfortable album thus far. The drug addiction Eminem had at the time, while not exactly obvious, it radiates off a lot of the songs when you know the full context. A lot of the songs are ... read more

Eminem - The Eminem Show
95

Holy PEAK. In my opinion, The Eminem Show is by far the best Eminem album, the closest he has to a perfect album. Unlike his other albums prior to this one, almost every song is able to stand on it's own, and in an album experience? They create a very pleasant experience. Eminem tones down the controversial language of his previous albums, but that's not the reason it is so great. It sounds good, it's consistent, it's accessible, it's energetic and a very feel good ... read more

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP

The second successful Eminem album, it certainly takes what the Slim Shady LP started and improves upon it. It feels like a much more personal and experienced album, despite there only being a one year difference between the Slim Shady LP and this album, Eminem is able to make himself sound mich more mature when needed, but also much more unserious at other times. It's a more enjoyable album, but i also believe it is overrated, and not his best work. However, it's still a classic in ... read more

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP

This album is the project that caused Eminem to blow up in popularity, and it's not surprising. It has some great standout tracks, and is overall a smooth album listen. The replay value of it is not the strongest, and a lot of the songs on the album are unable to stand on their own when not paired up with the album. While the album listen is smooth, sounds good, and is funny while thought provoking, it's not a perfect album. Favourite track: Rock Bottom
