another excellent Mogwai album, weird to see many bad reviews to be honest.
easily one of the best albums of 2020, not sure why its not rated higher?!

Don't know why i put off listening to this all this time. My kinda weird.
The Whether Channel is a great song, but feels like the only tune that i really felt captivated about. Loved the shorts, and weird samples throughout the album, but ngl I think people are way overrating this album.
Its GOOD, but its not a masterpiece. Well Oneohtrix says it himself with the last track (Nothing Special).
This is only a scathing review because I had huge hopes for this album. =(
When i first heard this I really didn't think it was as good as the album before this, but it has really grown on me.
Weird because when I first heard trouble I had my doubts, but now its one of my favourite tracks on the album.
Anything with Richard Dawson grows on me like a tumor anyways. =)

"you just dont get the depth of the lyrics, such songs as two halves has a deeper meaning and its just dark humour all round that you arent understanding. Flight of the Conchords in contrast is purely comedy based with know other intention layered into there songs."

"I love Godspeed more... but Mogwai have a completely different sound and aren't really comparable to who is the best. I would say though that Mogwai have done more good stuff more consistently where as GSY!BE's best stuff is off the chart amazing but some of their other album aren't on the same level in my personal opinion."
