as a Travis Fan, ts is so fucking mid. the faygo shi was cool tho
the halloween special from DF shows their harsher side just like with Rats Forever, however Bats Forever is a lot more expansive in sound. songs like "Bloodsuckers" and "Ugly Pumpkin" aren't afraid to dial things back with slowcore and indie influences while songs like "Give Me Candy" fully embrace the hardcore and punk sound i've enjoyed the most from this band. where this record really shines is with the closer, "All Hallow's Eve," an 8 ... read more
Rats Forever, the sister record to Frogs Forever, has the band return to a sound much more rooted in punk and hardcore, resulting in their best works yet. from the very beginning of the album to "I HATE Animals" DF delivers their most harsh, relentless works to date. songs like "Rats", "Chainsaw Massacre", and "Vermin" are unforgiving and demand your attention. surprisingly, the most punk thing about this whole album is the final song, a cover of ... read more
Frogs Forever is a good blend of all that DF has explored so far, bringing in elements of folk, punk, indie, and cabaret. however, some of these songs can fall a little flat with their sound and overall execution. this doesn't bring down songs like album highlights "Croak" and "Frogs Forever" though, and other songs like "Racist Redneck Dumbass Piece of Shit" and "Been a Month Since I Had a Man" are nice too. hopefully, their next few albums can pull ... read more
a surprising turn into softer, more folk-y (and arguably weaker) material. although missing a bit of the punch that made their first album as special as it was, Cats Forever allows more room for the lyrics and playing ability of the musicians to shine through. there are a few songs that do return to the stylings of their debut, namely the stunning track "Nowhere Cats" and the following "Cats Forever" as long with "Simpler is Butter." in terms of the more ... read more
a respectable start. very lo-fi and beginner sounding, and some song-writing elements are a little off per say, however signs of greatness are shown heavy in the last four tracks, especially in "Dogs Nowhere" but also in "Return of the Hamsters from Mars." a promising debut from an up and coming band. check it out.
#1000 rating. did not plan on this at all. shame it went to this and not something really good (i.e. volume 4) but oh well. 1000 is a fairly big number.
music sucks, but was great listening to all around. do your shopping at Walmart.
ion know why ppl rating this low this is fire. although the ai usage on track three, while not a major thing, is a lil disappointing to see. not defending ai at all, but this usage isn't like as bad as say vultures 2 sky city. but ye. piano music fire.
the red ants are out to get me. they want to see me burn. i see their little ant hills... they flood the sidewalks in which i walk, creating a fire only viewable from the mental. the heat will consume me unless i stay with the cold. but the cold is never permanent. i will soon be face to face with the red ants. there is no way to stop them from coming to get me. i don't know what they will do. probably burn me to a death or a place similar. maybe i'll end up in the room again, where ... read more
mannnnnn I was looking forward to this… it’s definitely not bad, but it’s just really underwhelming imo. I don’t expect them to be pumping out Frances the Mute twenty years later but ye
