on second listen i really can’t find a bad song in this album. with 25 songs not every is great, but i honestly expected at least 1 i didn’t like and couldn’t find one. ranging from my personal favorite sandra’s rose to nice for what this album is some of drakes better work, of which i always find myself enjoying. i can say this album was well executed and personally well responded
with the understanding that drake gets a bad rep, and for some obvious reasons, i can say, with the exceptions of deep pockets, demons, and war, i find myself enjoying the sound of this album upon review. Drake really isnt for everyone, usually myself included, yet this album, lacking in certain departments, for me was made up for in overall sound and my appreciation for carti and drakes work on pain
working around what madlib feels are his weaknesses, creating an alter ego displaying his true range of talent, madlib is an artist
very eager for what’s to come from a newer more artistically creative and expressive yachty after this listen. this album isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t need to be. i feel its a transitional piece, introductory to what yachty can do
this album is one long song and story
kevin parker holds such talent among those with the capability of solo production and creation
“everyday i spend my time drinking wine, feeling fine waiting here to find the sign that i can understand yes, i am”
a masterfully done randb/soul album with a rap twist that manages to show the skills of lauryn in both her storytelling and talent backed rhymes and lyricism
one of my favorite rap albums ever with such a peculiar and loose style and almost goofy storytelling structure with perfect production for complimenting such an aesthetic
