idk why i hadnt rated this yet. i've been a pavement guy for years but only over the past year have I really gotten into this album specifically. I feel bad saying a band's first record is their peak but this really is that. i'd argue most of the time that all of Pavement's records are 10s in their own right but S+E captures everything that makes these guys what they are. the loud, screeching bullshit with the slightly chiller, more melodic songs makes this listening ... read more

great production. got some really good songs but the twang on a lot of these vocals isn't my vibe. i'll fs do a relisten someday
