Kinda strange the album changed on Spotify. 2 more songs have appeared since the last time I've heard this thing and the song Flow got cut in half. This album features Cage The Elephant at their best and worst simultaneously. My favorite and least favorite Cage The Elephant songs live on this record in harmony.
Foals just over here predicting the end of the world (AKA the 2020's) with these records
A true hidden gem. I liked the bands latest release and decided to try this one out and I was blown away. Miracle and 100 Lovers were standouts for me but the whole album was great!
Revisited this album recently. I remember in 2019 when it came out i wasn't feeling it very much. I don't know what was wrong with me back then because this album is incredible! New standouts to the album like 13th Century Metal and Tomorrow really made the record amongst the original standouts like Stay High and History Repeats. Well done Brittany, can't wait to see what you do next.
Not sure if it's a short LP or a long EP, but what I do know it slaps from to start to finish. It makes me sad that some people have never heard Track 3 or Rx in their life.
Ah yes, the classic "singles are amazing and the rest of the album is filler" album. Had high hopes for this record especially with how much I've enjoyed Jack's previous work under the Bleachers name and with how good some of the singles were. The album ultimately fell short with weak album cuts and strange mixing choices.
Can't believe I'm the first review for this masterpiece. RAC's previous project BOY was at the time a disappointment to me, I'm planning on revisiting the project and giving it a proper rating. But this EP was phenomenal. The artwork really set a perfect picture for the picturesque beats and smooth bass lines. The synths and arpeggiating guitars were my favorite part of this EP. The only problem with the EP is that I wish it was a full album! The Claro De Lune "cover" and the palavra ... read more
The Rise and Fall Of Loverboy is a bumpy road, not just for Loverboy but for the audience who get to crash in the pink Volkswagen with them. The album is the most ambitious from the group and ties so well with their previous work. The album features clear references from their last album like the song Honey, which is obviously referencing the album title, "Don't You Worry, Honey", or like in the song Loverboy where they reference the track Headfirst. The album starts off during the ... read more
Somewhere-In-Between marks a step of growth for Eloise as she incorporates new sounds into her songs while maintaining the original appeals of her debut EP. The project keeps a steady pace throughout and keeps a consistent aesthetic, one which is inspired by old Hollywood. The humming featured in many of the tracks made the songs feel as if they were made for an old fashioned tv show, while incorporating modern mixing creates a unique sound. I find really chill albums like this one is that they ... read more
I want more of this sound! I discovered Phoebe Green when she dropped this EP and I've been very satisfied with these 4 songs. Reinvent and Golden Girl being the standouts of the bunch. Honestly the biggest problem of this EP is that its super short, but its an EP so I guess I shouldn't complain about length. The tracks rock and I can't wait to see what Phoebe Green does in the future.
