The Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
85

Dolores has beautiful way of expressing the unpredictability of relationships and how they leave one yearning for that same lover in someone to comeback even though they’ve been long gone

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See
81

Loved how Hope capsulated ones devotion to an unrequited love and their inability to break apart from the reality of their partner falling out of love, and turning a blind eye to them

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA

Overall I love themes of the album with a the contrasting generes that he blends together nicely as well as the change of flow but some of the songs felt repetitive at times in terms of structure leaving them feeling lack luster, still reminds a good album

Earl Sweatshirt - solace

Idgaf I cried to this shit and I wanted to genuinely end it, earls depiction of the depression that stems from a mix of defeat, anguish, and angst is so disgustingly put together in this ep. From his lazy voice barely even pronouncing words to the random instruments appearing from nowhere on the eerie instrumental truly encapsulate the never ending hole earl wants to climb out of.

King Krule - Space Heavy

Absolutely loved it, this is my first introduction to a project by Archy and it’s phenomenal. Down to how he evokes themes of being emotional unavailable in times in which you’re desperate to feel sometime to then captivating all of it just to have to let go again and feel disassociated or alienated from everyone else is really brings to life the name of the album where u can look at it in a literate since of space as in the galaxy or space between you and a distant lover growing ... read more

compared to other music i believe death grips is a lot more obscure and experimental so i cant fully enjoy the album like i would have but its good, may not be for me. However despite having difficulty g rating this album i enjoyed a couple of tracks.

Dean Blunt - BLACK METAL
78

the array of instruments used to produce these beats ranging from angelic heaven sent melodies in conjunction to his rustic vocals

Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
83

not sure why but this project made me reminisce on the unexpected warmth that came experiencing turbulent times, the way i interpret some of these progressions is as if earls telling a wrenched story in an almost comforting way for his fans to relate to. Reflecting earls scatterbrained nature and the “we don’t give a fuck, well do what we want” notion or unconcerned vibe i got from him and OF around this time when they weren’t worried about what others thought of them, ... read more

Dean Blunt - ZUSHI

starting with the first track welcoming us with a purposefully bad guitar which feels like a big fuck you to the music industry and really convey dean’s thoughts on and how he plans to roll with the following tracks on this LP. With such an obscure yet dignified sound bringing themes of a miscreant like behavior only to be met with the second track that reels the listener in with a folk instrumental and vocals that employ this mesmerizing and soothing feeling to ease what we heard before. ... read more

Kanye West - The College Dropout

i cannot believe that this came out in 04 first kanye album i listened to and i now understand why people love this man

Drake - So Far Gone

last few tracks sold this mixtape but i love some of the other ones so it balances it out i guess

Charli xcx - BRAT
76

Honestly i read up on the backstory behind brat and charli’s vision for what the album had in store for us with her playful bright pop noises perfect for a night out on a club mixed with the electronic noise i could easily depict a couple of women in their mid 20s going out for drinks and what not, dancing , creating a fun and soft atmosphere around them while having the occasional serious side conversations about their womanhood. This is the image brat is able to engender into my ... read more

Cocteau Twins - Garlands

loved this organic ethereal type of sound mixed with a grunge aesthetic that they produce but it gets a little dull and repetitive at times, with that being said i love elizabeth’s vocals

salvia palth - last chance to see

my sweet daniel please release more music

Whirr - Around
80

this record made me shed a couple tears with the drums bringing in a solemn atmosphere around my dark room which i thought was fitting for this once i was in the middle of the first track. Overall really enjoyed listening to this and some of these songs especially drain are getting added to my playlist and staying on repeat.

Clairo - diary 001
73

i love clairo and ep had hit after hit

Radiohead - The King of Limbs
88

awesome record from radiohead and although short it has some interesting sounds to set the tone right for their 2010s run

Mazzy Star - Among My Swan
78

first album from hope that i listened to and although i enjoyed the slow paste and the almost palliative effect it created, however i feel as if some of the tracks were lacking elements that others already had leaving them to feel soulless

Clairo - Immunity
69

nice debut album from clairo with some of the songs being a little dull imoo but her vocals on some of these tracks made for a soothing listen, like i was skipping around my house listening to it type

my bloody valentine - loveless
95

i love shoegaze but i genuinely did not understand the appeal to this album so much at first, like i sort of understood how influential it was but on my second and third listen my ears finally grasped everything.I felt conflicted on how to go about dealing with my emotions, specifically on my second listen i went from crying about my dad leaving me and how i never felt the love from him as well as i never gave someone that type of love. Then about how badly i messed things up with my ex ... read more
