I don’t have much to say other than I wanna get kicked in the face at one of this bands shows and I think that’s a good enough compliment.
Favorite Song: Conquest Of Judah
I recently discovered this artist due to the crustbag’s recommendation and I’m really glad i decided to check her out. I’m not even sure how to describe this music but I really like listening to it while studying, writing, playing Stardew Valley, etc. I’m glad she makes so much cause I can’t get enough.
This album feels like Old but he’s genuinely happy. Danny raps his ass off on this project, probably more than most of his previous albums except STH. But to balance it out we have all of the amazing features that usually take care of the hooks. This makes for a super fun, laid back, danceable and most notably, not very sad album. Things that are pretty new for Danny. Hard to believe this is the same guy who said “Can’t quit the drug use or the alcohol abuse. Even if I wanted ... read more
The lyrics on this one make me wanna tell Corey “The future is now, old man” but aside from that this song just absolutely rips it’s one of slipknots hardest hitting songs of the decade.
YIKES! As someone who’s not really a huge fan of this band anymore, this makes me appreciate their later music so much more than I have been. Every early version of later songs is much worse than their later versions and the songs that never appeared again didn’t for a reason. Anders is almost never a good vocalist unless he’s doing his, admittedly pretty good growls. The riffs are pretty good and heavy, and the tone is pretty nasty alongside it, but there’s maybe 10 ... read more
This album reminded me that I actually do like Prog Metal and most bands who do it are just not great at doing it. These guys definitely are. The solos on this album are fucking impeccable and go so well with the epic tone and the riffs underneath them. The vocals are heavy and angry without falling into the brutal territory which I think wouldn’t fit well. It still gets slightly boring due to the track lengths but that goes for most prog. Damn fine comeback album.

God I love death metal. This album might even pass Deicide in pure religious hatred, but that’s honestly not a positive. There’s not much to talk about otherwise. Good riffs, decent vocals, mediocre drums, the works.
Favorite Song: Ridiculous Fabrications of Control
Goregrind is still a pretty unfamiliar genre to me. I’ve been pretty uncomfortable with genre for a while because of its EXTREMITY (HYUCK) mixed with the awful album covers but I’ve been coming around to it recently. This is a pretty good album to listen to early on, I’d say. The vocals (as far as I can tell) aren’t pitched down and the album cover, while kind of creepy, isn’t a mangled corpse. I’m excited to check out more of the genre in the ... read more
I love stupid shit like this. This is twenty minutes of the most brutal and ignorant shit ever. The low end is boosted to hell and the vocals sound like they were recorded in the next cave over but who cares when you got riffs this nasty. Stank face all the way through.
Favorite Song: FROZEN SCREAMS ECHO
I think this is probably the least popular album I’ve ever listened to, and it doesn’t deserve that title. This is a pretty sick, if repetitive and not super original thrash metal album. The vocals are pretty demented for this kind of music and the riffs are legit. The main issue is the lead guitar sounds very amateurish and like it’s still being played by a beginner. Check this band out it’s pretty fun.
Favorite Song: President Zombie Puppet
I almost never listen to live albums but I was intrigued by this one. I’m glad I checked it out cause wtf this is incredible. Dylan’s vocals are possibly the most unhinged and monstrous they’ve ever been and the combination of that with the lack of care for feedback and noise bleeding through creates this insane cacophony of hellish noise that just absolutely shakes me. The intro to Crawling Back To God is really cool on here too. Also, having actually seen this band live, ... read more
I had previously listened to this bands entire discography a few years ago and as soon as I did I almost never listened to them again. I remember really hating their last album. Having heard this one now, I wish I never went back. This album displays everything I hate about modern deathcore except trash vocal Olympics. The needlessly technical riffs, the shitty clean singing, the breakdowns, etc. the only reason it’s not in the red is because track 3 and 4 are actually pretty ... read more
Deserves more recognition and a much higher score, this album fuckin rocks. The riffs and bass that are in the middle of crushing and not super heavy and the vocals that are between butt rock and Pantera is awesome. It’s kinda crazy how much you can tell this is a Full Of Hell side project despite it being an entirely different genre.
Favorite Song: Tuck & Roll
I’m pretty disappointed with this. I’ve heard a ton of good things about it and the album cover is sick as fuck but I’m not super into it. There are two glaring issues with this record. 1. It’s extremely rare that songs in this genre should exceed 4 minutes, let alone be nearly 7 minutes long. 2. The vocalist isn’t putting in nearly as much effort as the others. There are multiple stretches of time where the vocalist is just absent from the song and there ... read more
I don’t know where I found this album, it’s been on my list for months. When I got to it today I thought it would be either some wild metalcore or some black metal, so when I heard dubstep I was definitely shook. It’s also not very good. This album is nearly entirely comprised of long moments of ambience that get broken up by noisy drops. Every drop sounds the same and not very good at that. Not impressed with this at all.
Favorite Song: Tulpa
My favorite Bo James project so far. The production is so smooth but can also be pretty hype and Boldy James’ rapping is fantastic as usual. There have been a few times where I think the beat selection on these have been very strange and lead to either boredom or low quality, but this album is pretty consistently good. Still not my favorite style of rap but I definitely enjoy it.
