my first reaction after seeing this guy on spotify
Final Final Edit: So hi. after doing some digging and forgetting about this review i have come back to finish it. So originally me and the other person were supposed to get 2 weeks suspension but my Mother (W) convinced the principle to only give us in class detention.

the album sounds like a breath of freedom from psych pop duo "mgmt". Tracks such as
Siberian breaks and its working add to the atmosphere of this trancey vibe!
now with all the descriptive bs aside the album is actually really good! I enjoy seeing mgmt evolve thru these phases from these timey nostalgic tracks to more melancholic dark tracks such as little dark age. Congratulations seems to be the perfect bridge to connect these 2 major albums.
if free the robots isnt peak than apex is a close second
Honestly don't get the high praise this album gets. Its the basic formula of an rnb album based around love and heartbreak in which the album is great at but I don't really see Daniel going too far if he continues copy and pasting this formula. He does sound great on Freudian (as expected), Hes like a frank ocean that we can actually depend on dropping.
its so uninspired.
Cole bennett fails to create a feasable producer album with the stacked list of artists that he has.
The beats feel so uninspired, basic and boring,. This entire thing was a snooze to get thru only making possible for me to get thru it with the on and off good tracks
This was such a trip.
I feel like producer albums are heavily underrated being that people like dj khaled are at the forefront. But this, these are some of the instrumental hip hop/ jazz that has graced my ears. The production is quick, fast but yet so calm and relaxing creating a perfect balance between quick instrumentals but a soothing listen. In addition the vocals are top notch with features from kendrick, snoop dogg and especially thunder cat

This isnt the type of music for me but its fucking beautiful.
The album reflects on what him and his wife have done before coming to terms with the current situation and accepting it.
"A crow looked at me" isnt music, it's an escape for a man to look back on memories and experiences they've made with his partner and to come to terms that they can longer be with them.
The album of death, coming to terms, circumstances and acceptance
I swear yall are listening to some bootlegged disabled version of this album.
Feels like the embodiment of summer vibes with Kaytranadas and amines laidback chill rapping and production to form this vibe!
Everythang so basic.
basic beat, basic lyrics and basic hook. scratch that trashy uninspired boring song that some 5 year old that wanted robux would make to show it off to their parents to try and convince them
