Sure, it works as a callback to various previous albums: 'The Hunting Party' and 'Minutes to Midnight' are the places they most evidently draw inspiration from, sonically. There are also fleeting moments of 'LIVING THINGS' and they continue their usage of strange outros/segues. This is such a snoozer. There is some hope with the opening track... only to amount to nothing.
Shocked to actually enjoy this. 1-4 are actually great. WNDWS and Muppy go absurdly hard. For the most part, scar seems to have found his sound here and executes it very well then completely misses on "La La".
