dezmond - emotional

An amateur whose substance herein is disingenuous; accompanied by an unconvincing commentary. Occasional enjoyment to be found in the opening and closing track, and the tolerable production even if its narrative is coated in shallowness and artificiality.

Linkin Park - Heavy Is the Crown
NR

As much as my bias is screaming to give this a zero, I feel the need to solely give my opinion.

This is so formulaic and does not sound original. They are trying so hard to sound like themselves while sounding like they're not trying at all. They've made this song a number of times already. Shinoda shows the same delivery and simple lyricism he's always done. But this time, Armstrong's out-of-place vocals are here to be what Bennington's were in the tracks that were ... read more

Trey Kennedy - Irresistible

I can't even explain it.

Sybyr - The Quiet Part Out Loud

"Anti-World as you know it is going down the hill..."
Yup.

"Oh No He's Rapping"
Real.

Points for production.
Almost entirely erased by nearly thirty minutes of Cauthen's abhorrent voice and offbeat, boring, brainless, and lazy mumbling.

Lil Tra$h - Tra$h Music

Tune out the vocals and lyrics and it's not the worst thing ever made!

XXXTENTACION - ItWasntEnough

The deficient outweighs the decent.

Superheaven - Jar

Thoroughly enjoyed the first time. Revisiting? It's not bad.
Good for what it is. Nearly every track is an echo of each other.

PRXJEK - Feelings Of Disorder

Exudes musical incompetency through its mastering, delivery, and writing.

Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine
NR

Well... this hurts a lot more than I thought it would. No Bennington? I can't.
Sonically it sounds like a softer version of a track on "The Hunting Party". Armstrong does her best and Shinoda brings his usual mediocrity. The rest follows a predictable formula. And really, it isn't bad, it is just not Linkin Park. In the most painful of ways.

Gizmo - VENOM

"Megalodon" is not bad. From here it takes the deepest nosedive yet. Featuring horrendous inclusions such as:

Killstation.
The cringey end of "Butterflies".
A "quack" ad-lib (twice) and the most insincere outro in track 7.
The entirety of "I.C.B.".
And the off-tempo, poorly-mixed mess that is "Necrophilia".

Gizmo - Grit

"Bloody Throat" is fine. The instrumental grew on me quickly. Scream tone works well. Everything else is a pass.
"Body Bag" is among the worst of his tracks I've heard.
"Look in My Eyes" is a bore.

15

Forced darkness, dopey ad-libs, uninteresting wordplay, poor lyricism and cadence: copied and pasted over and over for the duration of the tracklist.

Gizmo - Argus Panoptes
49

First two tracks: good enough. Tracks 3 and 5 and are boring. Track 7 is boring and also not good at all.
While I find this marginally better than his other albums, it is still too unsubstantial to amount to much.

Muppy - MORE TO DEATH
53

"CRUSH" works well. "NUMB" works okay. "DODGY" is fine as well. None of which being as captivating as other releases, disappointingly.

It's difficult for Muppy to produce something that repels me, but how I wish I'd never listened to track 5. Ew. Absolute failure.

Gizmo - The Ankle Breaker

Starts hard, goes harder, then gets gross and ends out of nowhere.

Braden Ross - digilogue

*listens to brakence once*
Production and vocals are fine. But wow, what a drag. Offensively derivative and lacks any real substance. So much nothing.
If you're going to cling to someone else's style, at least make it for a reason. Try actually feeling one of the feelings you claim to relate to. Or try at all.

Gizmo - If I Was A Great White Shark

Clean execution, Roach.
