Btw this is the version I wanted to listen exclusively to, instead of the 'main album', cause I was advised to by a Noah Kahan fan and, well I think that was a real good idea, cause damn did the extra tracks pop off.
Of course, the rest of the album is almost entirely full of brilliant, heart-warming and beautiful folk/country, but, I mean 'Staying still' was easily the best of this 21-song experience. My other standouts were the two singles, 'American Cars', ... read more
NEW FAUXROOT SONG KINDA!!!
If you've been craving for some new Fauxroot, you're in luck because in between my time toiling away at my debut album coming July, I worked on this awesome collab with @lucythealien, for her upcoming album, too. She makes brilliant atmospheric synthwave-y electronic dream pop, and for this song, we combined that with shoegaze! It's so cool and you should listen to it on YouTube right now with this link:

Crywolf releasing a trap metal song is nuts and kinda fucking awesome in every way. Goes absolutely insanely fucking hard.
Yo I think @lucythealien is cooking. This is kinda nuts. After her breakout hit last week, Lucy's back again with an atmospheric, epic electronic synth-y rock banger. And it's already an improvement. The addition of drums really helps it keep moving and adds some nice syncopation. The moment the first chorus hits is really cool, and the building of sound throughout, into the epic ending with guitar and cello is awesome. And the song structure being verse-chorus, and actually building ... read more
Just give me music that sounds like this again and again, and I will ALWAYS love it. Post-Hardcore + Math Rock with great vocals (clean and aggressive) and vocal melodies, beautiful twinkly massages and energetic parts too. If you want great song-writing, and all of that, this is a must.
Sometimes, clicking on songs with 3 views after 22 hours, from artists with no subscribers, that were somehow suggested on your YouTube home page, is a damn good idea. And this time, it was.
When the song 'Rotate' appeared randomly on my YT home page, I was gonna just skip it like I always did with the bizarre low-view songs, usually released less than a week ago, that I occasionally got on YouTube. However, this time I thought it would be a cool idea to click on it and listen ... read more
@lucythealien has released her first song and its kinda incredibly peak. It's made me realise I haven't really heard a mix of ambient electronics, synthwave-y vibes and indie guitar stuff. It's moody, relaxing, beautiful, catchy and also epic-sounding at the end. Also for a first song, it's super well-made. Go and give it a listen on YouTube!
Holy moly she's back and with an insane song. The violin is haunting, the vocals are haunting, the piano is haunting, holy this song is so good. Of course, it's ironic I've used the word 'holy' three times. Also, this guitar is fire what.
Vocals are a lil weird and off-putting (I think it's intentional), but the instrumental is great. Also, WTF these guys are back?!! YAAAy
MY GOATS ARE BACK.
Yes, the wait has finallllly ended, and British alt-rock/alt-metal trio, Tigercub, have released their new LP, ‘Nets to Catch the Wind’, and it’s fuckin dope as hell.
These guys’ songwriting is simply next level. These melodies, and these chords and these harmonies and these RIFFFFFS and just how it all fits together, is majestic. It’s heavy and pretty and groovy and moody and dense, and it all feels so polished and thought-about. It’s ... read more
Yeah it's as fun, technical and heavy as you'd expect.
Archspire have given all I wanted them to, in this fifth album of theirs. The intensity and speed is incredible, but what I loved the most is the mixing of that timbre and mood with some cleaner, melodic, really beautiful sections, displayed perfectly in easily one of my favourite songs of the year, 'Limb of Leviticus'. Just that song being here, makes the album worth it, and deserving of a 90+ score. My only real ... read more
they're backkkkkk. And with a song as chaotic, fast-paced and short as normal. Hell yeah.
Absolutely phenomenal soundtrack to an incredible, underrated game. If you like your metroidvanias cosmic, dark and non-linear, or you like your game soundtracks with a mix of folk, metal, electronic and cinematic, this is absolutely for you
Thick and big, goofy and manic, yeah it's barbarians of California alright. One of their best songs.
