Baby Lasagna's new era is such an exciting evolution for Marko. It's now a band, mixing metal, electronics and Croatian ethno elements, and this first single is such a breath of fresh air compared to Marko's solo work after Rim Tim Tagi Dim. The complete lack of metal in his solo stuff was a bit shame, especially considering RTTD, but this brings it back more than ever. So excited for this next step of the project, and it's looking like the album is actually gonna be good ... read more
Um Bleachers may be fucking cooking the best they ever had. That climax was fucking nuts. Incredible song.
Edit no. 3: fuck me this is kinda an alright song
Edit again: ok hang on it's maybe growing on me. what, no that's not right
Edit: nah im sorry this is just really generic and uninteresting and kinda shit actually
fine song. I like the use of the language, the frequent traditional elements, and the bridge. But god this awful drum beat and cheap bouncy synth bass in the chorus, is so bad. It's not only super underwhelming, but also just out of place in general, like it's ... read more
Please support Ukraine during one of the most difficult situations of the entire Russian invasion. Russia has shut down the country's heating, during a super cold winter, and electricity. Even the tiniest amount is worth it. I have, and you should:

Also, this is a brilliant song, with lovely folky instrumentation and a very strong message, if a teensy bit lacking in subtly. Leléka's vocals though are certainly the ... read more
Just like the prior single, this is a very well-made and gorgeous track. However, I personally much prefer the sound, execution, instrumentation and harmonies of the other one. Calling this a metal song might have made my expectations far too high, as I personally see zero metal elements to this whatsoever. I do like the drum sound of the second half, but if there was some distorted down-tuned guitar doubling the synth melody, it would be really cool, and different, and actually fit the metal ... read more
Really enjoy this. Super pretty, atmospheric and well-made, and the drop is straight-up heavenly. Love the harmonies with the piano and synth chords, and sevenths (hell yeah for sevenths). The chillstep vibes remind me a lot of the music I listened to in 2020, which is a sound I appreciate hearing, and reminiscing about.
Beautiful guitar, brilliant, raw and emotional vocals, incredible lyricism and just some stunning folk-y and country-y and a lil emo-y songs.
Fire Song, It Doesn't Snow Here and Letterman are just fantastic.
Ok. This is one of my favourite albums of all time. What.
I've listened to MARO properly, ever since 2022, after watching her enchanting Eurovision performance for Portugal, with 'saudade, saudade'. It was an effort that rewarded her with a top 10 place, which is still the country's only one since 2017, and a lot of new fans, including me.
I didn't follow any of her new music though, and just listened to lots her earlier releases, until in 2023, I got 'we are ... read more
I never thought I'd say this, but holy fuck Arcane Roots are back.
Just a super beautiful, hopeful song, with brilliant vocals, lovely violin and good vibes. Makes me smile.
I didn't think they could live up to the otherworldly quality of the 2025 edition, but holy shit, I think they've done it. This edition has a lot more traditional, folk-y tracks, that all are simply stunning. There is less diversity than last year overall, with no metal, art pop or more experimental stuff that we got last time (except Bateu Matou), but the brilliance of these folky songs as well as the indie rock bangers, are just amazing. Last year, there were only two songs I ... read more
Holy shit we got Myrkur in a Eurovision national selection. I repeat we got Myrkur in a Eurovision national selection.
It's an absolutely incredible song too omg. It's so ethereal and decently metal-y. Her voice is stunning damn.
Also, Eurofans really like it what, um let's goo.
Casually releases their best song after a year and a half break. Classic Elision business.
This song fucks btw.
Maybe a tad underwhelming for a Diamond Construct song, but still very solid.
If this is actually their song for Eurovision, which I very much hope it isn't, I can assure you Georgia are not qualifying for the final once again. In a weird way, I recommend it to everyone to listen to, so you can go through what I put myself through.
I don't think there's many other albums that have been soaked in as much atmosphere, melancholy and desolation, as this stunning, emotional and powerful debut LP from Katarsis.
Can't believe one of my most anticipated albums of the year, has already come out, and absolutely SMASHED by expectations.
First things first, one of my favourite types of music is British quirky alternative rock/metal, so, I mean, this album is a no-brainer. The 4 singles for this album certainly set me up for what this LP would be like: a thundering, energetic, immensely entertaining experience, with some added theatrics that I looovve in this type of music. Also, given three of those ... read more
How can a song be equally brutal, technical, melancholic and beautiful? Well, this has fucking achieved it. Absolutely phenomenal song from Archspire, and if the first 2 minutes were a little more interesting, then this would be even more likely to be one of my favourite songs of the year. So excited for this album.
Edit: Nah those first 2 minutes actually just help the build-up tbh. This song is genuinely flawless. I've never cried at a death metal song before, but damn not anymore.
