Compared to their debut, this album is sanitised and watered down. It's practically a trend for lots of bands with a similar sound to this (Narrow Head, I'm looking at you) to have killer debuts, then gradually get softer and worse in quality. Fleshwater haven't deviated from this trend.
In their attempts to differentiate 2000 from their debut, they made a more boring, and worse paced album.
The Fleshwater style wasn't built for tracks longer than two minutes, apparently.
Wow, I really wasn't expecting something so heavy from these guys, pleasantly surprised!! Couldn't be more hyped for the album
