Nu Genea - Bar Mediterraneo
82

Kanye West - BULLY
68

to be a YE album it's not that bad

the production is really good, this album really takes a lot from "Yeezus", the rapping is provocative, but not the kind to get canceled (THANK GOD), the first half is definitely stronger than the second one. I liked that he tried experimenting with new type of music, like "ALL THE LOVE" and "PREACHER MAN", even though the rapping is so much toned down that it seems a like a mixing problem, so I still think that this album ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
100

Sonically and conceptually perfect, it's a free cry that represents a world of interpretation and imagination. It shows the society of the time, while modern society simply continues to justify it. It shows the pain that constantly afflicts us, that is inflicted by society, and that afflicts those closest to us. You can feel the pain as the sentences are written and the verses are sung, the pain of "losing" a friend, or of being helpless in the face of all these normalized social ... read more

nayt - io Individuo
60

Don Toliver - OCTANE
60

It's a solid album I guess????

Don Toliver approached this album having in mind a certain musical landscape, opting for more of an electronic sound, raw samples, loud bass etc.. Except for some highs, the entire album dries up quickly, if you're not a don toliver's diehard I doubt this album will stay in rotation for a long time, except for a couple of songs, even the feature don't spice up the mix that much. That being said it's still solid, Don changed the soundscape ... read more

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
81

I listened to it while on a trip in Slovenia, really fits the Ca$ino vibe and aesthetic

This album is a playful in the best way, keem plays with wordplay and new bars and instrumentals on this project. It has some really high energy moments and even lyrical moments (unironically on "I am not a lyricist"), and some more "Romantic" and emotional moments... I'm still weirded out from the Kendrick feature even though the song in itself is really cool, but Momo murdered ... read more

J. Cole - The Fall-Off
93

Took a while... but IT'S BECAUSE THIS IS INCREDIBLE

Disc 29:
Coming back from the first boom of his carreer at age 29, Cole comes back to the Ville and faces all the changes that his fame provoked to his relationship with his hood. This disk is full of bragadocious bangers, reflecting the persona he was at the time, full of hype and feeling himself, and also lots deeper cuts talking about love, legacy, but most importantly, the shift in his perspective by being as famous as he has become, ... read more

J. Cole - 4 Your Eyez Only
86

Truly an incredible story-telling album, very versatile, touching all types of themes regarding the life of James, going from love songs to straight conscious bangers about change and the perspective of life in a reality like "the Ville". All of this with the objective of criticizing the american economic system and the life it puts on people that are struggling economically. This album keeps some of the best particular Jermaine's performances and some of the best songs from the ... read more

Toby Fox - UNDERTALE Soundtrack
90

Just some of the pieces of music that shaped people's nature and ideologies in the 2010s...
This type of music perfectly adorned one of the most incredible indie games of all time, a foundation composed of simple "tiles" that perfectly and consistently create the atmosphere, managing to maintain excellent harmony and consistency across all 101 tracks. Each track allows you to relive the game and its atmosphere just by listening to it. It's truly an incredible soundtrack, ... read more

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
80

An album anticipated for far too long

To think, after so long since the last release of a concrete project by A$AP Rocky, to come here, leave a score, and leave seems wrong to me; after so long, waiting to be able to understand his vision and point of view with so little. I say this especially for Flacko because I deeply believe that a rapper's best albums come from a channeling of various important experiences in their life. Ms. Lauryin Hill has spoken about this in the past regarding ... read more

Central Cee - No More Leaks
60

Listened to it on drop, pretty forgettable, the production on some tracks is pretty cool, and on some tracks he has a cool delivery, but overall not it's just a bunch of generic UK drill songs, nothing less nothing more.

Guè - FASTLIFE 5: Audio Luxury
73

Still abbastanza solido, e ... read more

ear - The Most Dear and the Future
85

from the Macaconero's collection, here is "The Most Dear and the Future" by "ear".

A very abstract album with a very broad soundscape that manages to be lively, chill, ethereal, and indeed...abstract. It was a very interesting listen; each song is very short, yet in those two minutes it manages to show you a little bit of emotion, open to interpretation. In those 16 minutes, it manages to communicate so much, with a fairly varied production and singing that, in an ... read more

The Kid LAROI - BEFORE I FORGET
63

it's not THAT bad, but he needs to do some work...

The songs are somewhere between generic love-and-breakup songs with no substance, and something more, a little more structured. It felt much more like an experimental album, although neither the singles nor the album itself inspire me much. On "THE MOMENT", he sounds like Bruno Mars. It's clear he's experimenting with new sounds and styles, even with the production, which, truth be told, isn't bad at all.

Coming ... read more

J. Cole - Might Delete Later
68

I listened to it when it came out, during the beef period, and forgot to talk about it...

And rightly so, it's the kind of J. Cole material that seems uninspired, almost devoid of substance. Being a mixtape, and not a more structured and conscious album, it's as if he took his previous album, "The Off-Season," and built on the worst part, "the bragging," which is nauseating on this mixtape. Aside from a few tracks that I consider successful, both for the bragging ... read more

Marco Castello - QUAGLIA SOVVERSIVA
86

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
80

A collection of "some rap songs" without a strong overarching theme, it's an album that served Earl well after a long hiatus. A very solid project, with very short songs, well-structured rather than left unfinished, and excellent, almost psychedelic production. Really cool, very casual, it rocks.

Noyz Narcos - Enemy
81

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer
84

This album embodies that nerd funny girl I always meet at techno nights who always goes alone and dances for hours on end like she's possessed by the console.
