Biggest guilty pleasure for me. PLEASE listen to this it needs more recognition!!!
DO NOT play this album when you're driving in traffic and feeling super tired. Some of the tracks were amazing but even my who's a Peter Gabriel fan mother wanted to skip some of the tracks.
A concept album where the music is on par with the lyrics and story. Too bad they haven't made anything this good since.
You're telling me she was 16 when she wrote this?? When I was 16 I could barely write an English essay, much less an entire album, and a GREAT one at that. At a tribute to my tortuous junior year, I will now give this album the grade I got on most of my essays in AP Lang.
Edit: damn this joke doesn't land anymore because the album grew on me so much. Even though not every track is perfect, there is no other album I would rather listen to on any given day than this one.
Damn this Madonna album is so good how come none of y'all ever told me... Besides Shanti/Ashtangi being weird I can't think of any other thing wrong with this masterpiece.
My mom's favorite band is the Beatles and I didn't fully understand why until I listened to this.
Edit: I'm sorry guys Pyramids is better and not even close. I've also come to appreciate most of the tracks instead of just the big hits.
The fact that I've listened to most of these tracks on separate occasions before listening to this album just goes to show how iconic it is.
Also Pyramids is peak but If I were to choose to listen to one song over and over again it would 100% be Lost.
