I'm actually in shock that this album came out in 1987, it sounds WAY ahead of its time. The instrumentals are pristine, Sinéad's vocals are powerful and emotional, and the concise nature of this album all leave few overall flaws. I'm disappointed in the fact that this has barely over a thousand ratings; it deserves much more recognition on this site.
Sleep paralysis demon, thy name is Inferno.
I'll tell you something: do NOT listen to this album while on a run in a secluded area, I felt like I was being watched the entire time.
This artist and even genre are kind of new to me, so I didn't really know what to expect going into this. I like the way they experiment with sounds and chopped up vocals. Father and Sun and The Word Becomes Flesh stood out to me for that reason, and they struck the uncanny valley feeling that made them ... read more
Sounds a bit derivative of other recent electropop releases like WGIA and brat but there's enough diversity in beats and tempo that it makes for a very enjoyable listen. Also Korea is top 3 on this album idk why it's rated so low.
Not really a huge fan of fakemink overall but cloud rap with Imogen Heap samples makes any project an automatic hit for me.
I'n not gonna lie I had a lot of fun with this album but I do understand why people call it mid, especially towards the end it kind of dies off and his flow becomes grating and a bit dull, which is ironic considering the hardcore production. His single releases were the highlights in my opinion, and babygirl is honestly way better than its track score suggests.
Overall this was probably a bad introduction into Peggy, but I liked it enough to where I want to listen to his other stuff.
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of rap rock but this album made me see how closely those too genres are related in their rebellious nature, and Kenny Mason does a great job at combining the two seamlessly on a few of the tracks. Otherwise a really great trap album!
Half of these tracks felt unfinished, like she came up with an idea for a song and never fully fleshed it out. I like that she at least tries to experiment but I'm just left with the feeling of nothing after listening.
Why thank you cannibalism disease this was a very enjoyable and eye-opening experience to the world of rage-infused cloud rap... or cloud rap-infused rage?
Satisfying and rich dance-pop tracks that surpassed my expectations! I also really like her voice
Oh yeah I fear this has become another favorite album of mine.
When I close my eyes and picture what this music looks like, I feel a light summer breeze blowing in my face as I silently glide across a calm tropical ocean on a luxury yacht by myself. Their sound is so beautiful and this has to be some of the best sampling ever done.
Even with an overall consistent sound, they still manage to vary their tracks from some more dancey disco type beats to something you'd find on a classic 90s ... read more
Forgot to review this earlier because it's such a quick listen but I really enjoyed it. The industrial-type beats are really awesome and super chaotic and the tracks go absolutely hard at night.
OH MY GOD WTF JANE REMOVER DROPPING A SURPRISE LEROY ALBUM AND ITS THIS GOOD???
After listening to Drake's... lesser two albums the production feels like a fucking nuclear bomb. I really liked how the samples ranged from decades ago to just last year. And the way they used them is mind blowing. The literal definition of an eargasm.
Whereas HABIBTI is bad in a boring way, this album is bad in an offensive garbage way. Honestly it's so bad I laughed at some of the lyrics, sometimes in discomfort, other times in ironic enjoyment. Drake seriously thought this was worth releasing? Well, anything for his fans to gobble up and spend their life savings on...
Better than some of his recent releases but still boring as hell for the most part. I got next to nothing from the entire track list, and the fact that he's still hung up on beef that happened 2 years ago now... I don't think he will fully recover unless he stops letting Kendrick squat in his brain space.
Actually I did really like National Treasures the beat was damn good and the lyrics were also acceptable
