my introduction to chilean rock after falling in the rabbit hole of argentinian rock last year and getting more into latin american rock outside brazil. its honestly the most fun album i have listened to in a while, there is a nice mix of ballads like "pancho" and more energetic songs like "la torre de babel", this album will probably grow more onto me these next weeks
relistening to the entire oasis discography again bc of the reunion announcement #2
i think this record is a bit of a step down compared to their first record but it's still pretty good. "don't look back in anger" and "champagne supernova" are not only the highlights of this record, but overall on the top 5 best oasis songs ever. besides those two, yes there is wonderwall which ngl i do enjoy but i do find it irritating on how overplayed it is. besides those songs ... read more
i relistened to this after their reunion announcement came out. originally had this as a 70 but bumped it up to a 75. i think music wise their music is alright, my only issue that some tracks are a bit too long. however, i can't deny that it's a super fun record and "married with children" is on my top 10 songs of all time. oasis was a huge part of my freshman and sophmore years of highschool aka my britpop phase. if i included nostalgia my rating would definitely be ... read more
as a brazilian, i think its slightly overhyped, especially when each song has almost the same format. despite that, i do respect the legacy and influence this album has, i kinda just see this album as just very nice background music
listening to this while eating pizza with your friends late at night hits different
this record changed brazilian music forever, elis regina had a powerhouse of a voice and its sad knowing she passed away so young
the album is very messy but i think that's what brings the charm and why i come back to it
felt a bit iffy going onto this record at first because of its length and unfortunantely albums with long songs or with too many songs take a bit for me to process. i only decided to finally listen to it since i've been getting more into funk music (thanks jamiroquai) and oh my god this was just a wonderful listen. i already wanna listen to it again
I literally ascended while listening to the last track for the first time. jesus christ
when i say this record and their first record had me on chokehold back in 8th grade and freshman year of highschool i am serious. very nostalgic
i will be completly honest but I used unironically listen to this in middle school. undead is the only somewhat decent track in this record and everything else is either boring as hell or has one of the worst rap verses i have heard. i hate this record it makes me cringe so badly
i loved music like this back in middle school so this is very nostalgic for me, and although i grown out from that phase i can't deny that it's still a great album
boring plus vocals are doo doo, any song on this sounds like the intro song for a coming of age reality show for kids
when this album came out back in 2013 my dad used to play it nonstop and i can safely say this is one the albums that shaped my music taste
