JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
88

Peggy's new project brings together a vibrant and diverse landscape of intense, vibrant, and chilling music. One of the most disappointing albums of 2019.

DISAPPOINTING TRACKS: Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot; Kenan Vs. Kel; Papi I Missed U; Post-Verified Lifestyle; Beta Male Strategies; Free The Frail; Rap Grow Old & Die x No Child Left Behind; PTSD
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: PRONE!

Green Day - Father of All...

Fast food commercial type beat

Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!

The high moments on this album can be overshadowed by the underwhelming starting tracks, and a few songs in between that leave a little more to be desired.

FAVORITE TRACKS: California, Doin' Time, The Next Best American Record
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Mariners Apartment Complex

BROCKHAMPTON - GINGER
72

Whereas the Saturation trilogy featured loud and creative production and iridescence goes wildly experimental, Ginger takes a simple but effective approach which sometimes doesn't work in favor of the boyband's chemistry on a handful of tracks throughout the project.

FAVORITE TRACKS: SUGAR, DEARLY DEPARTED, NO HALO, BOY BYE, ST. PERCY
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: GINGER

TOOL - Fear Inoculum
80

Yeah, this album's gonna be a grower personally. There were plenty of highlights towards the back half, but the first main tracks felt dragged out or went nowhere.

FAVORITE TRACKS: 7empest, Culling Voices, Descending
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Pneuma (not counting the interlude tracks)

Periphery - Blood Eagle
NR

This gonna be Periphery's best album I can just taste it.

On Fit For An Autopsy - Oh What the Future Holds
"I both agree and disagree. I think with deathcore rising in popularity, there's definitely been a surge and oversaturation of breakdown-core which I'm also getting tired of at this point, but there's definitely still bands out there that mix in great technique. A very recent example I can think of is Lorna Shore, and while "To The Hellfire" definitely is breakdown heavy, the "...And I Return To Nothingness" EP as a whole really showcases a whole lot of variety in riffs and technique."
