Abel's debut studio album Kiss Land is a dark, ambient, cinematic experience that manages to mostly impress but not quite reach the heights of its predecessors. The sound of this album is like if the heavier elements of eos were mixed with blade runner and the nightlife of Japan. When this album was good, it was INCREDIBLE and really immersive but, occasionally songs would have really strange production choices, like on "The Town" towards the end he uses this horrible electric ... read more

Echoes Of Silence is the third and finale Mixtape in Abel's trilogy, and after the identity struggle that was Thursday I'm glad to see he could stick the landing. The beats this time around feel very dark and gritty, a stark contrast from the ambient, almost blissful instrumentals in hob. Abel's lyrics are generally the same old shit they were on the last two Mixtapes but maybe a little angrier and definitely more sinister like on XO/ The host and ... read more
This Mixtape is the Mario Galaxy 2 to hob's Mario Galaxy 1. Better in some area's, but generally just a stripped down lesser version of it's predecessor. Not to say it's a bad project, I actually enjoyed most the songs here, but some of the instrumentals on the tape feel like Abel went on YouTube and searched "House of Balloons type beat" also, lyrically Abel can't seem to write past "ooooooohhh im on druggsss and have sooo much sex but am saddddd ... read more
Danny has gotta have the best late career a rapper can have, he's always been so consistent quality wise while also never repeating the any sound twice. So it's no surprise this album is as good as it is. The album is clearly inspired by it's features and each song almost feels like it could've been the featured artist's song, this isn't a bad thing though as Danny is always very present on these tracks, giving some of his best and most energetic performances in a ... read more
I've listened to this Mixtape passively before, but I finally sat down and gave it a full listen and I'm definitely glad I did. House Of Balloons is one of those projects that requires you to get immersed in it's atmosphere in order to fully enjoy and appreciate it. The Weeknd does a great job setting up this atmosphere through the dark ambient samples and his gay little singing. The lyrics are kinda repetitive and sometimes cringeworthy, pretty much just being about drugs, sex, ... read more
