Doesn't stand out to me at all when I look at Radiohead's discography as a whole. Has some fantastic highs but overall feels a little unfinished. Not sure that's the right way to put it, but it lacks something anyhow. I also can't listen to 'You and Whose Army?' without thinking of 'Incendies' by Denis Villeneuve for better or worse.
Good listen.
Nobody Knows sampled by John Michel & Anthony James and used by Joachim Trier in Sentimental Value all in the same year. Awesome.
The first 6 songs on this album could be the best 6 song run ever. And this could be the best album ever. Could be.
The second Radiohead album and a massive improvement. Much more "Radioheadesque" than Pablo Honey, and far more compelling both sonically and lyrically. It seems the band found their sound pretty early (even if it did change multiple times later) and I'm happy to have liked this as much as I did.
