happy new year to everyone.
i want to talk a bit about what i would consider the best album that i listened in 2025.
to my understanding, "flood" is the second album by boris, and holy shit, it is, at least for me, their masterpiece.
from what i have heard and seen, flood is an album that treats the topic of natural disasters (tsunamis) in japan, and their devastation both materially and emotionally. i have never seen a concept so well put out throughout an album before, and ... read more
wow, just, holy but really holy fuck.
it's fucking incredible
feedbacker was my introduction to the japanese band boris. since i started getting into music a year ago or so, boris was always a band that i heard of frequently, i only knew they made post-rock (a genre that was definetly NOT for me at the time) and they were japanese, as simple as that. since late 2024 i started to expand my taste into more long, maybe tedious for a regular listener albums or songs, since then, post-rock ... read more
just because yesterday this masterpiece turned 32, i want to take my time to review it.
siamese dream is smashing pumpkins' second album and it's (in my opinion) their masterpiece.
this album feels like a perfect continuation of their amazing debut "gish" but it has more key elements that simply make the album better. billy corgan here offers us more personal lyrics along with an incredible guitar work which was just a wall of sound pretty well placed together.
i would ... read more
this used to be my favorite album a year ago and now that time has passed and things have changed, i still can see why this album was my favorite and why is it other people's favorite too.
ok computer, the third radiohead album, has aged incredibly well over the last couple of years, and while it's magnificent for albums as good such as this to remain relevant after almost 3 decades, it's also terrible because we are quite living (and if not, we will live) what this album ... read more
one of the most intense and intriguing albums i have ever heard. fantastic.
i love the buildup of every track, i love how the band leaned in towards a more agressive direction on this album, i would even call it "proggy" in a way.
beyond every fantastic track here, there is also a message. against war, against system, and against the atrocities that these bring. it's albums like this (or their latest one) that make me reflect how bad everything is, how fucked up is the facade ... read more
this is at least a top 3 important album in my life, and i say it because it helped me grow as a musician in any form possible and made me comprehend that improvisation is sometimes the key to resolving certain aspects.
and i say this because this album here is just a jam with production, that's it, nothing else to explain, but how can something so simple put into words describe the magnificence of what actually goes on in the album.
chameleon, for example, is one of the best songs ever ... read more
mirage is camel's second album, and, in my opinion, their best and it's not even close.
it is a pretty well structured album, everything in it makes sense, transitions, passages, everything is really well connected, changes in the structure are noticable, yes, but they are not uncomfortable at all.
instrumentally, this album is really light, rich, and it has really powerful passages (for example, the procession in nimrodel) that makes it feel complete despite being so simple in ... read more
i don't have a rating by now but eh, i'll give it later.
holy shit, i just searched out of curiosity on this site and ended up with a really beautiful, light track that makes me feel like i am floating.
i have to listen to this more in order to form a more elaborate opinion, so, those are my thoughts by now, but, pretty well done ngl.
what a nice album.
i really love the chill, laid-back mood in the album contrasting with a heavier one, an example of this contrast would be "Niño condenado" (i will talk later about this track).
"El anillo del capitán Beto" is a great opener for this album, i love how the band here plays with the rythms (which they do for all the album, practically), but, it might be uncomfortable at a first listen, because those jumpy guitars end up resolving to the starting ... read more
this album is beautiful, no doubt, vast lyrically, awesome vocals, spirit, and, it is really hard to make such a good album only with you and your guitar. yes, a man and a guitar was everything it took to make this, that, is impressive, making such a dense work with only 2 instruments is hard af. talking about this more, "resumen de noticias" made me fucking cry, and it is hard for me to cry while listening music, so, yeah, that is pretty much it.
if only this had more ... read more
this is one hell of a debut album, its fucking awesome, the rawness, production, everything here is fucking crazy, it has some lows, but the highs on this are so much and so good. i am one is a hell of an opener, and for me, the next 4 songs after it, are perfrct, the album then has "suffer" which, i enjoyed the least, but it is pretty solid. the rest of the album is where the albums has its most lows but still some pretty good highs. this is one of the best rawness examples i have ... read more
well, this album is fucking amazing.
i discovered black midi thanks to.. geordie greep, i think i discovered them late, but do not regret. this album is just so intense that you cannot stop paying attention to it.
holy fuck this was good, i really love all of its tracks, nothing out of here was bad, and it is just a defining masterpiece we have here.
being someone who had no idea about trip hop, this was an excellent introduction to the genre, so, what are you waiting for? listen to this right now.
