Ignoring the situation around this release and looking only at the musical and artistic side of things, there's nothing of value whatsoever. It's nothing more than a look into whatever voice memos and off cuts X left over before he died with some beats added in. This gets more attention than it deserves. Truly.
Poach is a very pleasant 38 minutes of warm fuzzy indie rock and maintains a consistent vibe throughout. Very much the kind of album I can listen to over and over again at work without even noticing it's been on for 2 hours.
(63 is still a solid 3/5 rating. Good but nothing truly amazing.)
