Rob Zombie - The Great Satan
90

I think this is easily Zombie’s best and most consistent work thus far. Unlike most of Zombie’s records from the past decade that either sound like Rob and the band all did acid, watched The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and then decided to make a record during that, “The Great Satan” actually seems to have some kind of concept behind the songs. Like it’s not a concept record but Zombie actually has something to say on this record, he’s not just being fucking ... read more

Prince & The New Power Generation - O(+> [Love Symbol]

I think it’s easily his best since Sign O’ The Times. So many songs stand out on this album even in comparison to the already phenomenal Diamonds and Pearls, I will admit this album’s opener is a little goofy but it ain’t bad.

Damn, Prince was a freak. But you know what he made great music so I don’t care.

Prince - Sign "☮︎" the Times

It cannot be understated how much of a genius Prince was, his musical talent was off the chart, and the way he genre-bent so easily and frequently on this album alone is astounding.

De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising

Genuinely one of the greatest produced albums of all time. De La has always been a group I hold in high regard, they don’t have a bad album and they’re very distinct in terms of trios, all having their own personalities and things they bring to the music. Cabin in the Sky had me wanting to relisten to some of their older stuff so here I am, and what can I say it’s a classic for a reason. RIP Trugoy. Much love.

Welcome back boys.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
80

It’s crazy that an album this good isn’t even the best thing Tyler’s made, Call Me if You Get Lost is the ultimate evolution for Tyler, he showed us his overly edgy, he showed us raw talent, and now he shows us himself, Tyler in all his glory. Although the album doesn’t have some kind of narrative or complex story to it I think this is better to me than Igor, at least I come back to it more often. He mixes in a good amount of introspective tracks with the more ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
80

Igor the 5th album by Tyler the Creator is the first time I think Tyler successfully told a narrative through his music. The problem with his other narrative work Wolf was that it was far too disjointed to actually understand the story and who was saying or thinking what on the album. The problem here is not that, the problem here is the fact that Tyler makes an album so consistent with its sound that it actually blends together at some points. I don’t entirely love this album like some ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Flower Boy

Flower Boy the fourth album from Tyler the Creator is the first time I think most people acknowledged Tyler for anything more than a gag. This was finally where the shell of silly troll Tyler shed and what emerged was a guy who cared more about the quality of his craft than his public image. What is demonstrated on this album is nothing short of incredible, and to this day stands as being a reminder to never give up.

Huey Lewis & The News - Sports

It’s fun what, can I say?

Ozzy Osbourne - Down to Earth
90

I’m not a music critic, I’m not a musician, I don’t know why I like this, I can’t give you an essay about why this is a good album or whatever but I do know one thing: Ozzy helped me personally through a lot of my life and I think he was a great human being. This is one of my favorite albums ever, Rest in Peace Ozzy, I hope wherever you are you’re where you always loved being, the stage.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

Tay-Tay what are we doing here?

Mac Miller - K.I.D.S. (Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit)

This is such a great mixtape for a guy straight out of high school. I bump this shit all the time on car rides, absolutely in love with the nostalgic sound and Mac’s humor on the whole thing.

Young Thug - UY SCUTI

Thuglus please get help, we all know you’re better than this. Honestly though I know a lot has been reported about Thug recently and I hope the poor guy is doing alright. As a fan of Barter 6 and Jeffery I’m sad to see what’s become of Thug.

Kanye West - ye
90

For as short as it is Kanye actually says quite a lot in this album. I’d rate it the same even if it was just Violent Crimes, despite its flaws it’ll never get old to me.

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb
60

If you think this is his worst album you’ve gotta be a melon head. I will never understand the amount of hate this project gets. Is it great? No. Is it better than Goblin? Fuck yeah. I think even production wise this album clears every edgy Odd Future track Tyler made back then. He went on to do better things but he had to make this to learn how to go from a good rapper to a great one. I will also standby the fact that 2SEATER is one of the best songs Tyler ever made. Fuck Goblin, ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Wall

Oh Roger Waters you stupid piece of shit, how you’ve destroyed your own legacy by being a nazi and general rude asshole to everyone, and remaking an album which you contributed two songs worth of backing vocals to. Why did you have to make such an undeniably great album, why is it the best Pink Floyd ever made, why couldn’t it have been David Gilmour’s passion project? Fuck you and your perfect prog rock classic. I genuinely dislike you to such an extent I’ll even say ... read more
