Fantano is right on this one. This album is just boring, lazy and a waste of time.
I quite enjoyed this album. I know most people seem to hate on Disturbed for whatever reason, but I think they're overhated. With a kinda hit or miss discography it's not surprising people don't like them, but I hate seeing people group them with actual terrible bands like five finger death punch. Evolution was also pretty mid, unlike this album.
Divisive is a rather divisive album based on the user score, which is understandable since alt metal peaked decades ago and Disturbed ... read more
It's pretty bad, but come on it's not a 0 just because you disagree with some of his hot takes. I don't know why y'all are so against white rappers that aren't eminem. Sure, some of his lyrics are cringeworthy, but at least he's honest and brave enough to speak his mind on controversial topics.
NPC music. The Beatles play music that sounds like what you often hear during the boring parts of old movies. Most of these songs are mid at best, but "maxwell's silver hammer" is literal garbage in music form. Not what I'd expect from one of the most glazed albums from THE most glazed band of all time. "Here comes the sun" is just so overplayed that it has become beyond annoying at this point, and it's not like the song deserves this popularity since ... read more
I gotta say that the french knows how to do black metal almost as good as the norwegians do. Deathspell Omega's dissonant style of black metal has been very influential and trendy since the release of Paracletus in 2010, and yet nobody does it better than them. Songs like "abscission" is a masterpiece in every aspect and the definite highlight of the album, but even the weaker songs like "have you beheld the fevers?" are still really solid. I love how this album is ... read more
Damn, the first song is the only noteworthy song on the entire album. The other 9 songs are just fine to listen to in the background, but I was quickly getting bored after the first song. Also, I was never really a fan of Lemmy's vocals, and I can't say anything has changed after recently relistening to this album. I still wouldn't call "Overkill" a bad album but it's definitely disappointing.
This crap is an insult to metal. I know Metallica often make albums on the longer side, but this felt much longer than it actually is. Sitting through this felt like a chore, and it took me 3 days to get through it. I think it's time these guys pack up and retire, because this generic dog's breakfast is not needed.
Terrible, just terrible all around. What are these awful vocals? It's not like the album would be much better without the vocals, but it would at least be somewhat listenable. Instrumentally Pain to Power reminds me of the Mars Volta, but just done worse in every way. For one, the extended chaotic jazz influenced sections are often accompanied by catchy guitar riffs and melodic vocals when the Mars Volta does them, but when Maruja does them it just sounds frustratingly boring and drawn ... read more
Kygo's music is made to be played on the radio, there is no denying that, but it's still enjoyable music. This album is fun and catchy and as long I skip the weak songs it becomes surprisingly good. I think having low expectations when first listening to this helped me enjoy it more, as well as listening to this while doing chores. The music is definitely meant to be listened to in the background, which is okay sometimes.
I first started listening to Drake when this album came out and it has ever since been my favorite album by Drake. How can you not like songs like "god's plan" and "in my feelings"? Scorpion is so catchy and memorable despite it being an overly long double album, I slightly prefer the first half but the second half is great too. However, an album this long is bound to have some lackluster filler songs like "ratchet happy birthday" and "elevate", but ... read more
This is peak Inquisition. The album is abrasive, cosmic, relentless, with frog vocals, and just about every riff is amazing. "Astral path to supreme majesties" is one of my favorite black metal songs of all time. The only reason I don't rate this masterpiece 100 is because some of the songs are somewhat forgettable, such as "upon the fire winged demon". I highly recommend this album, although the vocals are an acquired taste and not for everyone.
Opeth has some very good songs, but I can't say they've got any very good albums. When I listen to Opeth, it seems for some reason that only half the songs get added to the playlist. On Still Life I only like track 2, 4 and 6, and I don't care much for the rest. The other songs are not bad, but I would skip them due to their length, which is my other main issue with Opeth. None of their songs need to be this long, most of these songs have no reason to be more than 7 minutes at ... read more
As a hater of the Deftones I didn't expect to like this, but I unfortunately decided to give it a chance nonetheless. First of all, why have they still not gotten a new vocalist? This guy is just moaning into the mic and it’s cringe to listen to. I found myself skipping through every song on this album, because there was nothing catching my attention and no half decent riffs to be heard. I felt a strong urge to listen to something else so I would not recommend this to anyone. It ... read more
I was never really a fan of system of a down, they have some stand out songs like "toxicity" and "aerials" but other than that I would rather listen to something else. I'm not a big fan of this guy's vocals and the majority of the songs are forgettable and not very lyrically interesting. The song structures are all over the place, which is not always a bad thing, but in this case it is.
They should stick to deathcore imo, cuz this ain't it. The album starts off promising with "beyond the chemical doorway", but then quickly becomes a bore with riffs that simply don't catch my interest at all. It's okay to listen to in the background because of all the songs after the first one blend together with very little to distinguish them from each other. I can see why people would like this tho, it's just not for me.
Obnoxious music for obnoxious people, with cringe lyrics as expected. It sounds like a 14 old made this after being inspired by some gen-Z commercialized anime crap tv show. Yuck!
Yikes this is bad. I had to give up after skipping three songs in a row, there is nothing enjoyable about this at all. The only reason I don't give this a 0 is because I have somehow heard worse albums. Yet another overrated crap album that sounds like they've tried to create the most annoying music ever.
There are a lot of posers on this site because there is no way this essential metal masterpiece is rated this low.
