Sprawling, authentic, & inspired. Lots to listen to, explore, & enjoy. There's something here for everyone.
The track list featured here is wrong and incomplete. There should be 18 tracks beginning with "Baby" and ending with "Sittin' Up In My Room". That's the version I'm rating. The compilation covers all of Brandy's essential singles from 1994-2003 across her four biggest hit albums. Some filler tracks were added, but the 13 key tracks are all there. If you only own one Brandy album, let it be this one.
Quite the disjointed album. Half of the tracks seem made for an international audience while the other half seems more mindful of the US music market. An experimental effort either way. Dark Ballet, God Control, Crave, Crazy, Come Alive, I Don't Search I Find, Ciao Bella, & Back That Up To The Beat could've been their own album, for the better.
Four best songs on the album: Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Keep It Together, and Cherish. The rest remain stuck in the 1980s.
Four songs are worth listening to: Like A Virgin, Material Girl, Dress You Up, and Love Don't Live Here Anymore. Forget the rest.
