Grateful Dead - In the Dark

I will always love and glaze this album.

Grateful Dead - Built to Last

This album is not good. Foolish Heart is great, Built to Last is great, and Standing on the Moon is pretty good (but has much better live versions). Everything else on this album is forgettable, boring, or bad. I also feel like the 80's production motif's take away from the listening experience as they make the album sound of its time and cheesy. I understand why they would want to throw Brent a bone, but I never want to listen to I Will Take You Home again.

George Harrison - All Things Must Pass

I rated the bonus tracks, but I did not include them in my overall rating. Great album. Wah-Wah is a banger.

Grateful Dead - American Beauty

This is championed as the Dead's best studio album for a reason. I like when Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter write songs.

King Tuff - MOO

We're four months into 2026 and this is my first review of a release from this year. The thing I noticed consistently from track to track was that while the music was very good, the lyrics did not always follow suit. I mainly picked this album due to the album cover, and I got lucky. Very solid album, but fairly top heavy.

Rush - Rush

Hot take, I really like this album and think it is very good.

It's surprising to me how split the reviews are on this album, people either love it or don't, not really an in between. This is definitely very different than later rush projects being in the pre-Peart era. While I acknowledge the greatness of peart and what he did to push the band forward both musically and lyrically, I still think this album is very strong. Great riffs from Alex, heavy bass lines from Geddy. It is ... read more
