For those of you who think about making a band, when your lead singer dies from whatever it will be, please do what Dave Grohl did and create a new name. AiC's new music is fine, but they shouldn't be continuing using the Alice in Chains name without the essential member of the band. Just start fresh because the fans will always rate the newer music lower than the music made with the original band members.
Its bad music and made even worse by Axl rose being an asshole, tip for rock bands don't piss off the members that made your band successful. Axl Rose managed to lose Slash and Izzy in the period of 4 year which there's absolutely no replacing that. Also Kurt Cobain clowned him. absolute career ender of the decade
Its so awesome that Vondehaar and the black ops devs were rolling stones fans, I remember the paint it black trailer and hearing sympathy for the devil in Black ops 1. Fun fact the mission where the song is on takes place on February 11th 1968, but the Stones hadn't even started writing the song until June of that year.
It's decent music, but while being a big fan of the Rolling Stones I don't really like the period where they took a lot off the Beatles. It's not bad music, but I'd rather listen to albums like Sticky Fingers of Beggars Banquet. They really lack the rolling stones style here and quite obviously weren't even trying to be original here. It's worth a listen if your a big beatles fan and want more, but as a Rolling Stones album its very underwhelming
It’s bloated, but you could totally make a 12 track album of bangers from it. Rocks off is one of my favorite jams ever
At least 16 minutes of this album is timeless, some of the other tracks probably aren’t worth returning to, but man catch the rainbow is such a vibe
The coolest rockstars making the coolest music of their career. Features the most eclectic tracks in the rock genre. Can’t hear me knocking has such a fantastic jazz rock outro that is as long as it has to be. I see young people saying it’s boring but that can’t be further from the truth. This was certainly the peak rock music in the early 70s. You might have to shift your expectations if you find it boring. Because you won’t find no violent playboi carti 808s in this. ... read more
Lizzo and Lynyrd skynyrd on the same album. Lord what am I hearing right now?
Timeless song, this song always brings so many emotions. Becoming quite an old song but still nothing ever since can compete with feeling I get from this song.
Lacks a lot of the magic that made the previous countless stones records so special. Few good tracks, but would much rather be listening to sticky fingers or exile on main st.
That simple man performance was perfection. One of the best quality live recordings I can listen to. His vocals was on point
Possibly one of the most monumental performances in British history. At the time the most attended performance in UK even surpassing Live Aid! Oasis killed this performance, some of their best renditions of their all time best songs. This performance marks the peak of British music festivals in my books. The hype, energy is unmatched. People would line up around the block for an oasis cd at one point. It’s sad to say this level of energy for an artist might not ever be replicated. ... read more
Wow this is perfection. This is exactly how these songs were meant to be played. I wish people these days gave deep purple the same recognition as they do Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin cause this is peak hard rock/metal. These songs just a great live as they do in the studio recording. Pioneers of the genre
I like the first half of the song, but there was no need to cover a 2:30 minute long song into a 5:30 minute long song. It drags a bit much
One of the most influential songs in history. I don't know a song that has as many covers as this. Still nothing beats the original. GNR is my favorite cover but it drags a lot and loses its folk rock style and tries to be a glam rock hit
Easiest 100 rating in rock music. This song is the ultimate closer to 80s rock and is the end of overproduced glam 80s rock in a world moving towards darker lower tone grunge rock and indie rock.
Don't think Axl Rose was a good person, but his sound was unique and awesome. Don't fancy arguing any nerds about that. Their covers were so profound Paul McCartneys son though GNR wrote Live and Let Die. I am aware that Axl is a major douchebag, but drugs, alcohol, and rockstar fame cripple peoples decision making. Still love the hits in the albums.
