Hate to be the 900th person comparing this to wetdream. I'm going to compare this to wetdream. While wetdream was eclectic and prone to complete change in sound (lost in translation, playing dead, wetdream, revisited, those are just the ones off the top of the head), Hell for a Basement is mellow and enchanting. i accidentally had the youtube and bandcamp running at the same time during track 3, and they somehow managed to perfectly line up so that they were overlapping eachother. and i tell you, that was one of the most magical experiences ive had listening to music! if you ever decide to listen to this, try it out. i was like freaking swinging my head around it was so good. i dont remember how far it was ahead? i think it was like 2 minutes or something.
tldr: do dronevil with this album its so good
I really wanted to love this. I really did. I can see the excellence and attention to detail behind each song, but my own disdain for such a wide genre blocks me from forming a greater connection beyond appreciating some of the more downtempo focused songs. So instead of dogging on this album, I'm only going to talk about things I like.
